The letter from then-Mayor Lewis C. Murphy to the future citizens of Tucson, Arizona, typed on a sheet of copper, was buried in 1976 in a bicentennial time capsule on the grounds of the Tucson Museum of Art, and recovered in 2025 as part of the city's birthday celebration last year.
