Question: Dick Backus, Dave Seckendorf, George Stoner and James Stoetzel, among others, have asked about the North Oracle Road widening project, especially about the end of construction and speed limits.
Answer: The speed limits are reduced because the road is still under construction. The state has finished applying the final layer of rubberized asphalt, which is now curing, said Laura Douglas, a state transportation spokeswoman. The project should be complete by the end of the month, when final striping and other work is done.
