- These 2 herbs are similar but marjoram tastes better, especially when dried, Tersey says.
- Oregano acts like mint and wants to take over your garden, so she recommends planting it in pots.
- “Marjoram stays nice and tidy” in beds, she says, but it’s less tolerant of frost than oregano. Marjoram keeps growing in winter, but be sure to cover it if frost is forecast or it will turn black and possibly die. If it does get frost damage, it usually comes back nicely in the spring, she says.
