Former Salpointe Catholic teammates Donny Sands and Jio Orozco are teammates again. Both opened the minor-league season for the Charleston RiverDogs, the New York Yankees’ Single-A affiliate. Sands started at catcher and batted cleanup in the RiverDogs’ season opener on Thursday. Orozco started on the mound Saturday night.Â
