Chance to rewrite the record book
Arizona’s bowl history isn’t all that expansive. The UA is just 8-9-1 in program history. So there’s a good chance, like last year, that the UA could set some bowl records today. Here’s a look at some of the school’s bowl records to keep an eye on:
- Most rushing yards —172, Ka’Deem Carey, 2012 New Mexico Bowl
- Longest TD run — 68, Chuck Levy, 1994 Fiesta Bowl
- Most passes completed — 32, Nick Foles, 2010 Alamo Bowl
- Most passing TDs — 3, Matt Scott, 2012 New Mexico Bowl
- Most pass receptions — 9, Nate Phillips, 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl
- Most receiving yards — 193, Nate Phillips, 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl
- Longest TD reception — 78, Brad Brennan from Keith Smith; 1998 Holiday Bowl
- Longest interception return — 85, Scott Geyer, 1989 Copper Bowl
- Most total yards of offense — 403, Matt Scott, 2012 New Mexico Bowl
