Kingfisher has been going all out on Mardi Gras for more than two decades:
Kingfisher’s 23rd annual Fat Tuesday celebration will take place on, February 28th from 5 to 11pm . The evening is marked by live music, signature “N’awlins” fare, and celebration. Signaling the end of Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday is the biggest day of celebration in events leading up to Lent.
For Kingfisher Chef /owners Jeff Azersky and Jim Murphy, this is one of their favorite evenings – bringing a bit of New Orleans style to Tucson offering a unique opportunity to participate in this centuries old celebration by enjoying a classic Mardi Gras feast. The menu features a la carte offerings like classic Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya as well as traditional libations, Hurricanes, Sazeracs and a selection of Louisiana brews like Dixie Lager and Abita Turbodog. In the spirit of the holiday, guests are offered Mardi Gras beads and a chance to win a Kingfisher t-shirt if they “find the baby” in their “King Cake” dessert. The regular Kingfisher dinner menu will also be available.
