Re: the Oct. 20 article “US: Laptops in checked bags pose fire, explosion risk.”I am a geologist who is appalled at the type of testing that the FAA conducted, which consisted of a) strapping an aerosol can to a laptop and b) heating the laptop!Clearly all airplane passengers strap aerosol cans to their computer before packing it into the suitcases and airlines heat up their luggage storage.
How about banning aerosol cans? What a useless way to spend tax money on government scientists!
