Fixed vs. progressive jackpots: What’s the difference?
Fixed and progressive are the two major types of jackpots offered at sweepstakes casinos.
Fixed jackpots are what the name implies. They usually scale with your play amount. For example, a higher value spin of 500 GC will yield higher possible jackpots. A lower spin of 50 GC would have jackpots roughly one-tenth the size of the 500 SC play. These jackpots are specific to their games and don’t change based on how many players spin the game.
Progressive jackpots, on the other hand, increase as time goes on. A small portion of each spin will contribute to the prize pool, which rises until someone wins it. After that, the prize resets to a specific amount and begins climbing once more. WOW Jackpots and McJackpots are examples of progressive jackpots.
Do jackpot games have higher minimums?
