Carondelet Health Network has named Wanona “Winnie” Fritz president and CEO of St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson and Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales.
Fritz has served as interim CEO at St. Mary’s, 1601 W. St. Mary’s Road, for three months and she will now provide strategic, financial and operational oversight for it and Holy Cross Hospital, the company said today.
Fritz has more than 35 years experience in health care. Before joining Carondelet, she was chief clinical officer and director of international operations for Nashville-based HCCA International, which specializes in international hospital management and professional recruiting in the Middle East and Asia. She was also the chief clinical officer at Maryvale Hospital in Phoenix.
She attended the University of Maryland for her doctoral studies in education. She obtained a master’s degree in a nursing field from the University of Maryland, and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri.
