A day after economist Richard Florida chastised Tucson for its brain drain, the Wall Street Journal declared the Old Pueblo one of the 13 most popular cities for adults ages 20-34.
The Journal ranked Tucson high among destination cities for young adults in a series that, according to the editor's note: "looks at real estate and career prospects for young professionals starting out in their careers."
There's no specific ranking, but Tucson is listed among the top 13 cities for young professionals — alongside perennial favorites like New York City, Austin and Seattle. Noticeably absent are cities such as Los Angeles, Boston and Miami.
