Compass Bank is now BBVA Compass, although the only changes most customers will notice are new signs and logos at the bank's 19 Tucson-area locations. The official branding change takes place today with a $5,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson as part of a financial literacy program. BBVA Compass is part of a four-bank group that has 583 full-service banking centers in the Sun Belt, including 78 in Arizona, and is owned by BBVA, a Spanish company with $740 billion in total assets, 47 million clients, 8,000 branches and about 112,000 employees in more than 35 countries.
