Gas prices rose slightly this week despite ample supplies and waning demand, AAA says.
Arizona’s statewide average gas price moved up about a penny to $2.88 per gallon of regular, while the national average rose 3 cents, also to $2.88, AAA data show.
Tucson kept the state’s lowest-priced gas, though the average edged up a cent to $2.65 per gallon. Flagstaff had the highest average at $3.06 per gallon.
AAA said higher oil prices could drive gas prices upward in the coming months.
