The newly remodeled McDonald’s on North Campbell Avenue at East Fort Lowell has reopened, and it features a new drive-thru system.
The restaurant is the first McDonald’s in Tucson to offer a third pickup window and a side-by-side, two-lane ordering system, which can accommodate 150 cars per hour. The previous restaurant served about 90 cars per hour in its former drive-
thru configuration.
A grand opening celebration will take place Saturday, when the restaurant will offer Egg McMuffin sandwiches and Big Macs for $1 throughout the day. Customers attending the grand opening can enter a drawing for a chance to win an Apple iPad mini. The drawing will be held at 1 p.m. at the restaurant, 3232 N. Campbell Ave.
