Jody's Framing going out of business
Jody's Framing Gallery, a north-side shop that offers custom framing and accessories, is closing its doors after nearly 40 years in business.
The owner decided in June to shut down the shop because tough economic conditions had slowed business to a trickle, said Cheryl Colberg-Farkas, a manager who's worked at the custom framing business for more than 30 years.
Business started to perk up at the beginning of the year, then took another downward slide in April, Colberg-Farkas said. "It was like somebody shut the faucet off," she said.
The store, at 2654 N. Campbell Ave., is liquidating its inventory with a going-out-of-business sale, she said.
