Torrid, a clothing and accessory store for women sizes 12 to 28, has opened a new Tucson store.
It’s at the Tucson Spectrum shopping center, 5331 S. Calle Santa Cruz, suite 101.
A grand opening event will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday. The first 50 customers in line will receive a gift card worth up to $100. Customers can also enter a $500 shopping spree sweepstakes.
Torrid, which is run by Hot Topic Inc., boasts that its trendy plus-size clothing, including lingerie and swimwear, can “stimulate self-confidence and encourage a woman to feel sultry and downright irresistible.”
There are currently assistant manager, sales associate and store manager employment opportunities posted on the company’s website at torrid.com.
This is Torrid’s second Tucson store — the other is in the Tucson Mall, 4500 N. Oracle Road — and the 13th in Arizona.
