Integrative medicine pioneer Dr. Andrew Weil has sold his 85-acre Vail property for $1.56 million, public records show.
The South X9 Ranch property, which sits on the Rincon Creek southeast of Tucson, includes 11,000 square feet of living and work space, a swimming pool and a stone labyrinth.
The 11-bedroom property was originally listed for $3.25 million, with a portion available for $2.5 million, the Star reported in January 2010. A website that offers information about the ranch shows a price of $2.195 million for the 85-acre property. Peter Deluca, of Long Realty, handled the listing.
The buyer is The Eden Trust, documents filed in the Pima County Recorder’s Office show.
Weil, the founder of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, told the Star last year that he was downsizing and buying a home in Tucson.
