While gas prices are up from last week, Arizona has the lowest prices in the nation, according to AAA Arizona.
The state average for a gallon of regular was $1.929 on Thursday, up more than two cents from last week. But the nationwide average jumped nine cents to $2.141 per gallon.
Tucson drivers also saw the average cost of a gallon of regular increase more than two cents to $1.897 per gallon. East Valley drivers continue to have the cheapest fuel, paying $1.84 per gallon, while Flagstaff drivers pay the most at $2.122 per gallon of regular.
The price of crude oil climbed to the mid-$50 per barrel range this week, according to AAA. But stockpiles of both fuel and crude have stayed high because of continued demand suppression, AAA says.
