The University of Arizona's educational broadcast organization, KUAT Communications Group, will change its name to Arizona Public Media beginning Monday.
The group currently offers six streams of television content and three streams of radio content. It is affiliated with National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service.
Because some of its programs do not have the KUAT call letters, the new name better reflects the group's UA connection, General Manager Jack Gibson said in a press release.
To accompany the name change, the group will introduce a completely redesigned Web site and a new membership magazine called Preview.
