A retired vice president of Whirlpool Corp. is the latest former executive to join the Eller College of Management’s mentoring corps. Barry Holt, who presided over global communications for Whirlpool, will be an executive mentor in the MBA business communications program.
For several years, Holt has been a guest lecturer in the program, helping deliver a course to prepare students for crisis and investor communications.
Holt retired from Whirlpool in June 2004, after more than 35 years in public relations and corporate communications. He was named corporate vice president, global communications, of Whirlpool in July 2000. He came to Whirlpool from ACNielsen Corp., where he served as senior vice president of global communications.
