A liquidation sale begins Thursday at the hotel formerly known as a Sheraton Four Points near the University of Arizona campus.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has shut down the hotel at the corner of East Speedway and North Campbell Avenue. It plans to reopen in early 2013 as the trendy Aloft Tucson University hotel, aimed at people in the 20s and 30s.
The seven-story hotel that opened in 1971 had 150 rooms and conference space.
An online announcement of the liquidation sale says it begins at 10 a.m. Thursday and continues the following week until everything is sold.
Among the items being sold: beds, televisions, furniture, commercial kitchen equipment as well as outdoor furniture.
