AGM Container Controls Inc. of Tucson is one of seven finalists for America's Small Business of the Year Award, given by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Sam's Club.
AGM grew out of Arizona Gear Manufacturing, started by Roger Stewart in 1964 to make breather valves for shipping containers. The chamber noted that today AGM has a varied product line, ranging from national defense equipment to wheelchair lifts.
AGM will be honored at America's Small Business Summit May 11-13 in Washington, D.C., where a winner will be announced.
