A Florida company has acquired the local chain of seven Warehouse Vitamins stores.
The local chain was acquired by Tree of Life Inc., a St. Augustine, Fla.-based wholesale distributor of natural, organic, gourmet, specialty, and multicultural food products and supplements. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Matthew Baird, who is staying on as Warehouse Vitamins general manager, said the local chain will keep its name and its 23 employees. Warehouse Vitamins was founded in Tucson about 15 years ago, Baird said.
The new owner has been helping to renew the stores' product lines, service and image, the company said in a news release.
Tree of Life is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Wessanen NV based in The Netherlands.
