Northwest Medical Center has announced the resignation of its CEO, Paul Kappelman, who will be pursuing a career opportunity in Dallas.
Transition plans are being made and will be announced as details are finalized, the hospital said. A national search for a new CEO is underway.
Kappelman began his career at NMC in 1998 as assistant CEO. In 2003, he became CEO for Northwest Medical Center Oro Valley (now Oro Valley Hospital) and led the development and opening of that hospital. In 2007, Kappelman returned to NMC as its CEO.
