The Walking Company, a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based footwear retailer, plans to open a store at La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive this month, the company said in a press release.
The local opening is part of a six-store expansion that also includes locations in Richmond, Va.; Manchester, N.H.; Skokie, Ill., Buffalo, N.Y.; and Highland Village, Texas.
Each location will feature the styles from more than 40 premium comfort footwear brands such as ECCO, Mephisto, Dansko, Pikolinos and Beautifeel, the company said.
The Walking Company, a subsidiary of Big Dog Holdings, has more than 160 stores across the country. The company's Web site is www.thewalkingcompany.com.
