Tucson-based SynCardia Systems, Inc., manufacturer of the temporary Total Artificial Heart, announced Wednesday that Rodger Ford has stepped down after six years as CEO.
SynCardia President Michael Garippa is taking over as CEO in addition to his current role.
Ford is joining MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc., manufacturer of the HeartAssist 5™ left ventricular assist device, as CEO and chairman of the board.
