Photos: Couples, Families, Friends gather for A Fine Valentine Relay
About 750 runners, both kids and adults, participated in Southern Arizona Roadrunners 25th annual A Fine Valentine Relay 4-mile relay and 2-mile race at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. on February 9, 2020.
SAR had three different races runners could participate in. There was a FitKidz mile race that kicked off the event. After the FitKidz race, friends, couples and family members lined up for the 4-mile relay and 2-mile race. For the 4-mile relay, teams were required to show some form of love at the Public Display of Affection Exchange Zone. The event ended with an awards ceremony where prizes were awarded to the best costumes, most creative PDA and race winners. The money raised from this years race, roughly $6,000, will go to Ben Bell's Project and SAR's own programing.
