Hard to believe that it was nearly four decades ago that former Beatle George Harrison organized the first truly massive benefit concert in rock history.
"The Concert for Bangladesh" was actually two concerts on Aug. 1, 1971, with a lineup that included Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Bob Dylan and Ravi Shankar. A movie of the best performances was released in 1972. You can see it at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Fox Tucson Theatre. Tickets: $6-$8.
