Tab Hunter, the 1950s matinee superstar who chewed up scenes in "The Burning Hills" and "Damn Yankees!"and later became a gay icon, will be at the Loft Cinema on Saturday night to promote his book and take questions at a screening.
Hunter's cult classic 1985 film "Lust in the Dust," in which he shared the screen with the late, great Divine, will screen at 7 p.m. as part of the festivities. The night will also include a highlight reel of Hunter's onscreen exploits.
In his 2005 book, "Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making of a Movie Star," which will be on sale at the event, Hunter (seen below in a publicity still from his heyday) spills about his relationship with Anthony Perkins and figure skater Ronnie Robertson and dishes about other stars he knew and worked with.
Admission is $10.
