The Tucson Symphony Orchestra will perform Handel's "Messiah" tonight in the first of two performances.
Then the orchestra will mostly retire the piece for a couple seasons, turning its attention instead on Bach and Baroque Christmas next season.
In addition to the orchestra, the concert includes the TSO Chorus under the leadership of Conductor Bruce Chamberlain, soprano Misook Yun, mezzo- soprano Carolyn Sproule, tenor Jason Baldwin and baritone Noel Bouley.
Tonight's concert starts at 8 p.m. at Catalina Foothills High School auditorium, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. It repeats at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $40 and $50.
