Who says Tucson doesn't rate: Grammy-winning pop star
Rihanna ditched her July 22
Phoenix date and is playing Casino del Sol's AVA instead.
The Barbados-born singer and model was to have played Cricket
Wireless Pavilion in Phoenix, which is roughly four times the size
of AVA.
Sol Casinos CEO Wendell Long told KOLD TV that he could not
explain why Rihanna made the switch. We could not reach him for
comment early today.
Recently, a number of artists have announced plans to boycott
Arizona over the state’s new immigration law.
AVA is owned by the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe, a sovereign nation.
Ticket information is unavailable at this time. For more, check out
