Duke and Duchess of Sussex miss the Platinum Jubilee Pageant

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn't attend the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday (06.05.22).

The royal couple recently flew into the UK from their home in the US to attend Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, but they were absent from the star-studded pageant in London.

The news was confirmed prior to the spectacular event when a list of expected attendees from the royal family was released and their names were missing.

However, other prominent members of the royal family were present to enjoy the festivities, including the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Queen also made an appearance from the balcony at Buckingham Palace, where she was seen smiling and waving to the crowds.

The 96-year-old monarch was joined on the balcony by Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children - Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four.

The Queen - who only made a relatively brief appearance in front of the crowds - was unable to appear at events on Friday and Saturday after experiencing mobility problems over recent months.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also absent from the Platinum Party at the Palace on Saturday.

More than 30 members of the royal family attended the star-studded concert to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, but the duke and duchess instead spent the day celebrating daughter Lilibet's first birthday "privately" in Windsor.

The duke and duchess - who also have Archie, three, together - made their first public appearance in the UK for two years on Friday, when they attended a service of thanksgiving for the Queen's reign at St Paul's Cathedral.

Songwriter Paul Vance dies aged 92

Songwriter Paul Vance had died at the age of 92.

The musician - who co-wrote the tune 'Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini' - passed away at a nursing facility in West Palm Beach, Florida, on May 30.

Paula, his daughter, wrote on Facebook: "As I sit here to write a tribute to my Dad Paul Vance, Legend , famous songwriter , author, and owner and lover of his many winning race horses, I do so with a heavy heart because to me he was just my Dad [broken-heart emoji] (sic)"

Paula subsequently revealed her dad had died in her arms.

Her post continued: "I sat by his side for hours playing beautiful music , mostly his Ofcourse , and he took his last breath while listening to my brother Philips voice singing My name is Michael , from his hit song , Playground in my mind. Only you Dad, only you lol. It's as if he wrote the way he would take his last breath on earth [heart emoji] (sic)"

Paula explained that her dad - who also wrote songs such as 'Catch a Falling Star' and 'Tracy' - apologised for his mistakes before he passed away.

She added: "For those of you who hold on to anger and bitterness , I just want to say that when you forgive you set your self free and the person you are forgiving . Don't wait till it's to late [prayer emoji] Please keep us in your prayers and let's remember all the good and fun times we shared because of the Amazing talents of this one dynamic crazy dude I call Daddy! (sic)"

Jennifer Lopez to receive Generation gong at the MTV Movie and TV Awards

Jennifer Lopez will receive the Generation Award at the MTV Movie and TV Awards.

The 52-year-old star will receive the accolade during the ceremony at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday (06.05.22).

MTV said in a statement: "The Generation Award celebrates beloved actors whose diverse contributions to both film and television have turned them into household names."

Previous winners of the award include the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Pratt, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Downey, Jr, Mark Wahlberg, Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, and Johnny Depp.

Jennifer won MTV's Video Vanguard Award in 2018, and she admitted after receiving her gong that her career has been a "crazy journey".

The New York-born star - who has enjoyed significant success as a singer and as an actress over three decades - said at the time: "It has been a crazy journey, dreaming my dreams and watching them come true … This career has always been kind of an obsession for me."

Meanwhile, this year's MTV Movie and TV Awards are being hosted by Vanessa Hudgens.

And the 33-year-old star previously heaped praise on the 'Jenny from the Block' hitmaker, who starred alongside her in the 2018 rom-com 'Second Act'.

Vanessa shared: "I have a deep love for her because she played my mom in 'Second Act'. So, I always think of her as family."

The brunette beauty also praised Jennifer for being "really kind and caring".

Speaking to 'Entertainment Tonight', Vanessa added: "She's such an icon and she just keeps on going. I don't know anyone who works harder than she does. And I just really admire her workforce, but also just her and what she is to the world. I adore her."

Naomi Campbell 'honored' to be part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations

Naomi Campbell felt "honored" to be part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The 52-year-old model appeared on a 90s-themed bus during the Jubilee Pageant, and Naomi relished being part of the spectacular event.

Naomi - who was joined on the bus by fellow catwalk star Kate Moss - told the BBC: "It has been a great and amazing day ... to salute the Queen who has given herself selflessly to this nation and the world and the Commonwealth."

Sir Cliff Richard was also invited to be part of the Pageant.

And the 81-year-old singer admitted it still feels like an honor to be around the royal family, decades after he met them for the first time.

The chart-topping star - who wore a Union Jack-themed outfit for the event - shared: "Every time you have to be with royalty, all those moments are great because all these years later, it still feels like the grandest honor.

"Where else in the world can you get a chance to do something like this?"

The Queen actually appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the final act of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The 96-year-old monarch - who has struggled with her mobility over recent months - appeared for a few minutes and waved to the crowds.

She was joined on the balcony by members of her family, including the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prior to that, members of the family enjoyed the festivities from the royal box. The Queen was initially absent from the event and her plan to make a relatively brief appearance was only confirmed a few minutes before she waved to the crowds.

Sarah Silverman cast in Maestro

Sarah Silverman has joined the cast of 'Maestro'.

The 51-year-old comic is the latest big name revealed to be starring in Bradley Cooper's upcoming Leonard Bernstein movie for Netflix, and sources told Deadline she will be playing the conductor and composer's sister.

Sarah's casting follows those of Carey Mulligan, who will play Bernstein's wife Felicia, Maya Hawke, who will play his daughter Jamie, and Matt Bomer, who will reportedly play a clarinet player who had a brief affair with the 'West Side Story' creator.

Cooper himself will play the lead role, as well as producing alongside Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Fred Berner and Amy Durning.

The 'A Star Is Born' actor has also written the script with Josh Singer.

The movie charts the complex love story between Bernstein and Felicia Cohn Montealegre. The romance spanned more than 30 years - from their first meeting in 1946, continuing through two on-off engagements, a 25-year marriage and three children as Bernstein grappled with his own sexuality.

Sarah is best known for her comedic talent but she has also shown off her dramatic skills in TV series 'Masters of Sex' and 2015 movie 'I Smile Back'. Her musical, 'The Bedwetter' - which is based on her 2010 memoir and which she also co-wrote the music for - is currently playing at the Atlantic Theater Company and she's also busy with her self-titled podcast.

But the comedian previously explained that she has never taken a long-term approach to her life or her career.

She said: "I did go through a little bit of not knowing how I was gonna make money.

"I'm lucky in that I don't really think about the future much. I never have. I never think: 'Where will I be in five years?' I always just keep my head down, do stand-up, and things just happen."

George Michael wanted to be remembered as having 'integrity'

George Michael wanted to be remembered as someone "with integrity".

The 'Careless Whisper' hitmaker had been working on documentary film 'George Michael Freedom Uncut' in the months leading up to his shock death in December 2016, and in the film, he speaks poignantly about his legacy.

According to the Sunday Times Culture magazine, he said: "I want to leave songs . . . that will mean something to later generations. I want to be remembered as someone who had some kind of integrity."

Sir Elton John was interviewed for the documentary and remembered his 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me' collaborator as outspoken and very talented.

He said: "Dinner with him was always an event because he would have a definite opinion on anything. He took something I thought was near perfect in Don't Let the Sun and made it better. That's the biggest compliment I can pay."

George lived next door to supermodel Kate Moss and the pair had a lot of fun together.

She said: "My favourite night was after the Olympics closing ceremony. We went back to his house and we danced and laughed and rewatched his performance. It was a very long night, I was still there when the sun came up.

"I told George that I really wanted to go to the final Wham! concert and sat on the phone for eight hours, but they sold out. I was heartbroken. His music is still on all my playlists."

The 'Freedom' hitmaker worked on the film with his best friend, David Austin.

David reflected: "George made this film the way he made everything. He took complete control."

After his pal's death, David stopped listening to George's music for some time.

He added "But a few years ago I was in New York walking down Madison Avenue and Praying for Time came on. It took me by surprise. It really hit me and I listened in a different way. I thought, 'He can really sing.'

"We met when we were a few months old in our prams. We started writing songs together when we were around five. One was called 'Music Maker of the World' and we played 'Crocodile Rock' by Elton John. George was the drummer and I played guitar and we recorded everything.

"He was such a kind, caring, gentle, giving person. I miss my friend. I miss our friendship, doing all the normal things together, speaking three or four times a day. Music was our first love."

Shakira reassures fans over ambulance photos

Shakira has reassured fans after photos emerged of her sitting in an ambulance.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker sparked concern on Friday (03.06.22) - a day before announcing she had split from long-term partner Gerard Pique - after Hola! magazine published pictures of the 45-year-old beauty looking tearful in the passenger seat of an emergency services vehicle near her Barcelona home, which they said were taken on May 28, but she's now explained that medics were called after her elderly father, 90-year-old William Mebarak Chadid, had taken a "bad fall".

She tweeted: "Guys, I'm getting a lot of concern that I was seen in an ambulance in Barcelona recently. I just wanted to let you know that those photos are from last weekend (the 28th), when my dad unfortunately had a bad fall and I accompanied him in an ambulance to the hospital where he is recovering now."

Shakira also shared a photo of herself kissing her dad, who had a bandage over his eye, and asked fans to direct their concern towards him, instead of her.

She added: "Please do send all your best wishes his way and thank you all as always for all of your love support."

Shakira's clarification came hours after she and Gerard - who have sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, together - were ending their 11-year relationship.

The pair said in a joint statement: "We regret to confirm that we are separating. We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect."

The 'Whenever, Wherever' hitmaker and Gerard, 35, first met on the set of her music video for 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', which was the official theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The Colombian pop star claimed early this year that she and Gerard didn't see eye-to-eye on punctuality which led to arguments between the pair.

Shakira said: "My poor husband, slash boyfriend, slash baby daddy, whatever you want to call him, he has to wait up for me so long. He's tired of waiting up.

"Cause Colombian time is not the same as Catalonian time, Spanish time."

Nancy Sinatra would love to collaborate with Billie Eilish

Nancy Sinatra's dream collaboration is a duet with fellow Bond theme singer Billie Eilish.

Frank Sinatra's daughter sang the titular theme tune for Sean Connery's 1967 film 'You Only Live Twice' - 53 years before Billie entered the Bond world by recording the title track for Daniel Craig's final outing as 007 in 2021's 'No Time to Die'.

Now Nancy has picked Billie as an artist she'd love to work with, but fears the 20-year-old pop star might not be as keen.

She told Uncut magazine: "Billie Eilish would be fun. I don't know if she'd like to sing with a grandmother, but it might be interesting."

However, the idea might not be as far-fetched as Nancy might think as Billie has previously cited Frank Sinatra as an influence on her music.

When dissecting tracks on her 2019 debut album 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?', Billie shared a list of songs which had help inspire her and she included Sinatra's 'I'm a Fool to Want You' as an influence on her track 'Xanny'.

On the subject of Bond, Nancy had her say on who should replace Daniel as 007, and she is of the opinion that it should be female next.

She said: "Queen Latifah (would be good). I love her."

No details about Bond 26 have been released, however, the producers said it would take a while to find a replacement.

Ewan McGregor almost turned down Obi-Wan Kenobi due to Star Wars backlash

Ewan McGregor almost rejected the chance to star in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' because his previous work on the 'Star Wars' prequels was "so hard".

The Scottish star has reprised his role as the Jedi master in the new Disney+ series but he admitted it wasn't an easy decision because he struggled with the heavy use of special effects in the three movies he made - which was released between 1999 and 2005 - and his experience had been soured by unfavourable reviews.

He told Total Film magazine: "I found it very hard to make those films. It was lots and lots of green screen and blue screen. By the time we did 'Episode III', it was almost all entirely green screen.

If there was bit of a set, that was a turn-up for the books. They were just so hard to make.

"And also, at the time, they weren't received very well.

"Every time they were released, they were being hammered. And that didn't feel very good."

He later returned to another of his previous projects, 'Trainspotting' to make a sequel, and he began to think returning to 'Star Wars' might also be a good idea.

Ewan explained: "I started thinking, 'I want to do it. Why wouldn't you?' (with Trainspotting) and the same thing happened with Obi-Wan ..."

Bosses at Lucasfilm eventually contacted him about the possibility of a new film and it lead to the creation of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' as a TV show following on from the success of another Disney+ 'Star Wars' venture - 'The Mandalorian'.

The new show reunites Ewan with his previous co-star Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the previous films.

The trilogy showed his character's evolution into super villain Darth Vader and the masked Sith Lord is returning in the new show with Hayden back in the fabled black suit.

Shay Mitchell gives birth

Shay Mitchell has given birth to her second child.

The 'You' actress - who has two-year-old daughter Atlas with partner Matte Babel - attended the BEIS Motel pop-up at The Grove is Los Angeles on Saturday (04.06.22) and admitted it was "so much sweeter" to be out celebrating her brand just two weeks after welcoming her second daughter into the world.

She told E! News: "I recently just had my second child and this is why this is all so much sweeter because this is the first time I've actually been outside of the house since having her. It's really special to come and visit my other baby."

The 35-year-old star hailed her partner a "great" dad.

She added: "I think when you find someone who has the same morals as you, it makes parenting a lot easier.

"It's definitely a partnership. Finding somebody who has similar morals to you is extremely important."

The former 'Pretty Little Liars' star announced in February she was expecting her second child and admitted the happy news felt connected to the death of her grandmother just a week before.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: "Saying goodbye to a loved one while simultaneously experiencing the joy of welcoming another into this world is the great cycle of life. It is also my most challenging season to date.

"I can't help but think this was the universe's plan all along, knowing I would need other worldly joy to cushion the blow of losing one of the most important people in my life.

"Yet, this is proof that love, life and loss can profoundly exist all at the same time.

"Gram, I miss you every day. Little one, we are so excited to meet you. I breathe a sigh of peace knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic way."

Shay has made no secret of her desire to add to her family and last summer joked she should have made the most of staying at home amid the coronavirus pandemic and "should have had a baby".

She said: "Damn, I might as well do it again if we're going to go back in there.

"I feel so unproductive from last pandemic. I should have had a baby! I don't know, I'd love to. When the time is right, you'd be the first to know."

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino ready to try for another baby

'Jersey Shore' star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino is ready to start trying for a second baby with his wife Lauren Pesce.

The couple were high school sweethearts and they married in 2018 before welcoming their first child, a son named Romeo Reign, in March 2021.

And just a little over a year after the birth, Mike is ready to try for another child.

He told Us Weekly: "I think we are ready for baby number two. We keep talking about it and we're going to start trying."

Lauren went on to reveal they don't want to stop at two as the couple has always wanted a big family.

She added: "I feel like we've always said three. We love the number three, and it's just like, good vibes.

"But we'll see whatever God blesses us with."

When asked about how she's dealing with life as a new mum, Lauren admits it's been challenging but she's loving every minute.

She said: "There's chaos … It's just so much fun having a baby. I love it …

"Being a first-time mom and everything being new, you have no experience to fall back on. It's one of those things you got to figure out for yourself."

Mike and Lauren met at college after taking a maths class together and they dated from 2004 until 2007.

After splitting up, Mike went on to find fame on reality TV show 'Jersey Shore' and the pair didn't reconnect until the series ended in 2012.

They met again at a kickboxing class and revived their former relationship. They dated for five years before marrying in 2018.

'It brings incredible joy': Goldie Hawn loves being a grandmother

Goldie Hawn loves being a grandmother and says spending time with her grandkids brings her "incredible joy".

The Hollywood actress, 76, is gran to her daughter Kate Hudson's three children, as well as son Oliver's three and Wyatt's new baby boy - and she says her family is her top priority.

Speaking to Australian Women's Weekly, Goldie explained: "A good family is the answer to happiness.

"I look at our kids and grandchildren and there's nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all of them."

She added: "Being a grandmother is amazing, I love it. It brings incredible joy. Family is so important."

Goldie is grandmother to Kate's kids Ryder, Bingham and Rani, as well as Oliver's brood Wilder, Bohdi and Rio, and Wyatt's son Buddy, who was born in 2021.

Wyatt recently revealed the kids all have sweet nicknames for Goldie and her partner Kurt Russell.

He said: "Starting with my brother's or my sister's first child, they're Gogo and Gogi.

"My dad, his wine that he makes it's called Gogi because his nickname in life was Gogi, and my mom's nickname in life was Gogo. So those are what the kids call 'em."

Kate and Oliver are Goldie's children from her previous marriage to Bill Hudson.

Goldie and Kurt got together following her divorce from Bill and they have been together since 1983.

The actress has previously insisted they have never felt the need to tie the knot as she was divorced twice before she met him and Kurt also had a failed marriage in his past.

She said: "Marriage didn't work for either one of us. I'm not saying that it wouldn't work again, but I didn't think that we really needed to get married."

Shakira and Gerard Pique split

Shakira and Gerard Pique have announced their separation.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker and the Barcelona footballer had been dating for 11 years and share sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, together.

The pair said in a joint statement: "We regret to confirm that we are separating. We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect."

Shakira, 45, and Gerard, 35, first met on the set of her music video for 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', which was the official theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The news comes as the singer faces a trial over alleged tax fraud charges in Spain after she lost an appeal last month.

Prosecutors claim that she failed to pay up to 14.5 million euros in tax on the income she earned between 2012 and 2014, although Shakira's legal team insists that she has done nothing wrong and have vowed to keep defending her case.

They said in a statement: "Shakira's conduct on tax matters has always been impeccable in all the countries she had to pay taxes and she has trusted and followed faithfully the recommendations of the best specialists and advisers."

Mariah Carey faces $20 million All I Want For Christmas Is You lawsuit

Mariah Carey is being sued for copyright infringement over her song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

The hit has become a festive staple since it was released in 1994 but Mariah and her co-writer Walter Afanasieff are being sued for $20 million by songwriter Andy Stone - who claims that he co-wrote a track of the same name in 1989.

In legal documents filed in Louisiana, Stone claims that he has never given permission for the track to be used and argues that Mariah and her collaborators "knowingly, wilfully, and intentionally engaged in a campaign" to infringe his copyright.

Stone accuses the pop star and her team of acting in a manner that was "designed to exploit the popularity and unique style" of the song, suggesting that it "caused confusion" as the two songs have different lyrics and melodies.

The lawsuit accused the defendants of committing "acts of unjust enrichment by the unauthorised appropriation of plaintiff's work and the goodwill associated therewith".

Mariah previously recalled being taken aback when her record label suggested that she should release a Christmas song.

The 53-year-old star said: "When I wrote 'All I Want for Christmas Is You,' the label was like, 'OK, why don't you do a Christmas record?' And I'm like, 'Really, now?' Like, second album, two albums in.

"And I was like, 'Well, I do love the holidays, let me try.' So, 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' is the first Christmas song I ever wrote, and then I worked on it with my then-writing partner, Walter A, and we just wanted to make it feel like a modern classic."

Chris Martin wants to become a Broadway star

Chris Martin wants to become a Broadway star.

The 45-year-old singer has previously claimed that his band Coldplay will stop making records in 2025 and he has his eye on his next career move as he dreams of starring in a stage version of Disney's 'Mary Poppins'.

He said: "I have this distant dream of being in Mary Poppins on Broadway or something, but that's a long way off."

The 'Yellow' hitmaker has previously had cameo roles in 'Modern Family' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', but he admits he's not much of an actor at present so some lessons are required.

He said: "Modern Family was my daughter's favourite show at the time and we bonded over that show. And Curb Your Enthusiasm is Curb Your Enthusiasm so how could you ever say no to that. I'm not an actor clearly I'm good for a cameo or two here and there."

One thing that the 'Viva la Vida' hitmaker is not good at is the culinary arts in December he admitted that he was "not a great cook", claiming that the last few times he has attempted to whip something up, the emergency services needed to be called.

Chris said: "I'm not a great cook. I've cooked twice in the last 10 years and both times the Fire Brigade came and I'd like to send a shout out to them in North London Fire Department who've saved me twice. The second time they came and said 'have you been cooking again?'"

He explained that he lives on "pasta and toast because I said I'd cook dinner, but then I got distracted and went to work on a song and then forgot until, anyway!"

Michael J. Fox struggles to remember his lines after Parkinson's diagnosis

Michael J. Fox can no longer remember his lines for movies.

The 60-year-old actor - who was diagnosed with brain condition Parkinson's at the age of 29 - has now revealed his memory has been severely affected since shooting 'The Good Fight' back in 2017.

He said: "When I did the spinoff from 'The Good Wife', which is 'The Good Fight', I couldn't remember the lines. I just had this blank, I couldn't remember the lines."

The 'Back to the Future' star - who has Sam, 33, twins Aquinnah and Schuyler , 27 as well as 20-year-old Esme with wife Tracy Pollan - went on to explain that when he started his career in the 1980s on 'Family Ties' , he could memorise 70 pages of script but these days can no longer remember just five.

Speaking on Mike Birbiglia's 'Working It Out' podcast , he added: "I'd go, 'I'm in. Mallory, get off the phone.' And I knew it, like in an instant, and it continued to be that way for me," he said. "I have 70 pages of dialogue on a [Brian] De Palma movie, and knowing that a hugely expensive Steadicam shot depends on me knowing the lines -- not a trickle of sweat on my brow.

Now, I can't remember five pages of dialogue. I can't do it. So I go to the beach."

His comments come just weeks after it was announced that he set to be the subject of a new feature-length documentary, which will address his struggles with fame and battle with the disease.

Apple said in a statement: "The account of Fox's public life, full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss, will unspool alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at 29, with Parkinson's disease.

Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film will chronicle Fox's personal and professional triumphs and travails, and will explore what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease. With a mix of adventure and romance, comedy and drama, watching the film will feel like… well, like a Michael J. Fox movie."

Gisele Bundchen 'hit rock bottom' at 22

Gisele Bundchen suffered anxiety and panic attacks at the start of her modelling career and admits she was downing a bottle of wine every night after hitting "rock bottom".

The 41-year-old supermodel has opened up about the dark days of her early 20s and revealed an unhealthy diet of coffee, wine and cigarettes played havoc with her mental health.

She told Vogue magazine: "From the outside it looked as if I had everything and I was 22 years old. On the inside, I felt as if I'd hit rock bottom …

"I was starting my day with a mocha Frappuccino with whipped cream and three cigarettes, then drinking a bottle of wine every night. Imagine what that was doing to my mind."

After hitting breaking point, Gisele was pointed in the direction of a naturopath who helped her detox and turn her life around.

She cut out caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes and embraced a diet of vegetables, nuts and small portions of lean meat.

The catwalk beauty explained the gruelling regime gave her terrible migraines but her symptoms disappeared after three months and she started feeling healthier again.

Gisele explained: "The doctor … I remember him saying, 'Well do you want to live? It was that simple." After completing the detox program, Gisele has maintained a healthy lifestyle ever since and now credits a healthy diet, meditation and exercise with keeping her on track.

She added: "I think I feel better in my forties than I did in my twenties and not just physically, because we're all told that life is over at 40 and feel like I'm just beginning."

Kim Kardashian compares Met Gala weight loss to method acting

Kim Kardashian has compared her rapid weight loss to method acting.

The 41-year-old reality star shed a reported 16 pounds in three weeks to fit into a dress once worn by late Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe for her appearance at the Met Gala back in May 2022 and compared it to Christian Bale losing 56 pounds in four months for his role in 'The Machinist'.

She said: "To me it was like, 'OK, Christian Bale can do it for a movie role and that is acceptable.' Even Renée Zellweger gained weight for a role. It's all the same to me. I wasn't saying, 'Hey everyone, why don't you go lose this weight in a short period of time?"

The 'Kardashians' star - who has has North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, with rap star Kanye West and is now dating 'Saturday Night Live' alum Pete Davison - added that it was just an "important goal" for her to achieve and and admitted that had she not been able to lose the weight, she would have missed the event altogether.

She told The New York Times: "It was just important to me to reach that goal. [If I hadn't lost the weight], I just simply couldn't have gone, which wouldn't have mattered."

Speaking at the event itself, Kim - who wore the original dress that Marilyn sang 'Happy Birthday' to then-president John F. Kennedy back in 1961 for mere minutes on the red carpet before changing into a replica - explained that while she "didn't starve" to fit into the stress, she did follow a "strict" diet.

She said: "It was this or nothing. I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict."

Machine Gun Kelly's new movie based on rocky time in Megan Fox relationship

Machine Gun Kelly based the plot of his new movie 'Good Mourning' on a rocky time in his relationship with Megan Fox.

The musician makes his directorial debut with the film, and his co-writer and co-director Mod Sun has revealed the movie was inspired by texts between MGK and Megan which left the star worried she was about to dump him.

During a chat with Us Weekly, Mod explained: "It's inspired by true events. When Kells (MGK) started his relationship with Megan, she left the country to work on a film.

"She had terrible (cell phone) service where she was (but) would text whenever she could."

Mod then revealed MGK was left concerned by the messages and went to all his friends to ask their opinion on whether she was about to break their romance off.

He added: "He'd misread these cryptic texts, assumed the worst and asked (me) and our friends if we thought she was breaking up with him. We started the script to keep his mind off the relationship."

The movie takes place over the course of a day in Los Angeles and follows a fictional actor named London Clash who is offered the role of a lifetime in a new 'Batman' movie.

However, his good news is soured by a text from his girlfriend which suggests they are about to split.

Mod added of the plot: "It deals with the human condition of how we create the worst-case scenarios in our heads because we don't have all the information."

'Good Mourning' stars Pete Davidson and Dove Cameron as well as MGK and Megan themselves.

MGK and Megan started dating in 2020, and they announced their engagement in January 2022.

Wolfgang Van Halen slams 'disgusting' documentary on his dad Eddie Van Halen's final hours

Wolfgang Van Halen has slammed the makers of a ghoulish documentary that graphically charts his father Eddie Van Halen's death.

The guitarist, 31, slammed 'Autopsy: The Last Hours of Eddie Van Halen' as "disgusting" ahead of its showing on US cable network Reelz on Sunday. (05.06.22)

He tweeted: "F*** Reelz Channel, f*** everyone that works on this show, and f*** you if you watch it. "F***ing disgusting trying to glamorise someone's death from cancer."

Van Halen's fury was echoed by his mother and Eddie's former wife Valerie Bertinelli, 62.

She said: "Good Christ this is disgusting."

Van Halen played base in his father's eponymously named band from 2006 until Eddie's death from a stroke aged 65 on October 6, 2020.

Reelz's description of the show says: "If caught early, Eddie's disease had reasonable survival rates, so what exactly happened?

"Now renowned forensic pathologist Dr Michael Hunter will analyse every detail of his life in order to piece together what else may have been going on in his body, ultimately leading to his untimely death."

The show description also references the musician's struggles with alcohol addiction, commenting that "a darker undercurrent that would plague Eddie throughout his life".

Wolfgang squashed rumours he could replace his late father in Van Halen after Eddie's death, fuming: "Anyone peddling this s*** is not only hurting the fans, but hurting me and my family."

Eddie started smoking and drinking aged 12, and stated that he eventually needed alcohol to function before entering rehab in 2007 and claiming a year later he was sober.

He underwent hip replacement surgery in 1999 following years of acrobatics on stage and began receiving treatment for tongue cancer in 2000, which required the removal of about a third of the organ.

He was declared cancer-free in 2002 and blamed his habit of holding metal guitar picks in his mouth for the tongue cancer.

He said in 2015: "I used metal picks - they're brass and copper - which I always held in my mouth, in the exact place where I got the tongue cancer. I mean, I was smoking and doing a lot of drugs and a lot of everything. But at the same time, my lungs are totally clear. This is just my own theory, but the doctors say it's possible."

Adam Sandler still suffering from groin injury he suffered a year ago on set of new film 'Hustle'

Adam Sandler is still recovering from a groin injury he suffered while on set of his new film.

The comic, 55, revealed "popping" the area while making basketball drama 'Hustle' was "horrible" and he is suffering the effects a year later.

He told Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of the film at the Regency Village Theatre, Los Angeles, about how he sustained the injury while playing with his NBA pro co-stars: "We had some of that going, but that's before I popped my groin.

"There was one night my groin couldn't take it anymore then I said, 'I guess I'm gonna have to watch these guys go'."

The 'Funny People' actor added the injury was "so bad" and said: "It's been a year already and I'm still limping around like a fool... it's horrible.

"I played with everybody, all the guys, and it's humiliating, you know?

"You take a shot in front of them you see how flat your shot is you see how dumb you look you have no form.

"Then. when they shoot. you're like, 'Yeah, yeah, alright, that's how you're supposed to play'."

Dad-of-two Sandler - who has daughter Sadie, 16, and Sunny, 13, with wife Jackie, 47 - plays Stanley Sugarman in 'Hustle', a former basketball scout who battles to resurrect his career by recruiting a player from Spain named Bo Cruz, played by pro Juancho Hernangómez, 26, to play for the NBA.

Adam added he loved acting with co-star Queen Latifah, 52, who plays his wife, Teresa Sugarman.

He said: "Me and Latifah know each other forever, and she's a beautiful person. Wherever we would go, wherever, there was a crowd of people. People would just be like, 'Oh my god, that's Queen Latifah!'

"She has a a nice aura about her and and brings happiness and is just a nice person."

'Hustle' was released in cinemas on Friday (03.06.22) and is out on Netflix June 8.

Mandy Moore announces second pregnancy by saying her son will make 'best big brother'

Mandy Moore is pregnant with her second son by Taylor Goldsmith.

The singer and actress, 38, and her musician husband Taylor, 36 - who already have son August, one, and who married in 2018 - announced the news on her Instagram by exclaiming her boy will make "the BEST big brother!!"

Alongside a picture of her son, known as Gus, in a shirt that read "big brother", she said: "One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited,' she wrote.

"Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can't wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo.'

Mandy is scheduled to play a concert on June 10 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, and she is then set to tour America into July.

It comes after the end of her long-running television show 'This Is Us', in which she stars alongside Milo Ventimiglia, 44, as parents of the main family of the series, which ran from 2016 until May 24 this year.

Mandy has previously used Instagram to reveal why she named her first child August, saying: "It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we were having a boy (it's also Taylor's birth month) and we always loved the name... so it was settled very early on in our book.

She spoke late in her first pregnancy about the anxiety she felt about finding out she was to become a mum, while having endometriosis.

Mandy added: "Because of this issue with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and put any stock in it. I sort of was holding my breath until 12 weeks."

The actress and singer's exes include 'Srubs' actor Zach Braff and Ryan Adams, both 47.

She divorced Adams in 2016 after marrying him in 2009, and despite initially calling their parting "respectful" and "amicable", Mandy branded him emotionally abusive in 2019.

Adams made headlines this week for celebrating Johnny Depp's blockbuster court win over Amber Heard.

The 'My Winding Wheel' singer shared his support for the actor, 58, by commenting on his victory statement posted on social media with three emojis including a red heart emoji, hands raised emoji and a fire emoji.

Adams has been accused of repeated sexual misconduct and emotional abuse by women including former girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers, 27, who dated Adams in 2014, and said Adams was emotionally abusive towards her and "demanded" phone sex when they were in public.

The singer has said he is not "a perfect man", adding: "To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly."

Me Too founder Tarana J Burke declares movement is not dead in wake of Johnny Depp victory over Amber Heard

Tarana J Burke has insisted the Me Too movement she founded is not dead in the wake of Johnny Depp's court victory over Amber Heard.

The activist, 48, posted a long statement in the wake of a jury verdict on Wednesday (01.06.22) that decided the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor had been defamed by Heard, 36, and said she had falsely accused him of domestic abuse.

Burke said: "The 'me too' movement isn't dead, this system is dead.

"This is the same legal system that y'all have been relying on for justice and accountability for decades to no avail. When you get the verdict you want, 'the movement works' - when you don't, it's dead."

Referencing the sex assault cases against Harvey Weinstein, 70, and Bill Cosby, 84, she went on: "When Weinstein went to jail it was, 'me too is winning!' When Cosby came home it was, 'What a blow, me too is losing!'

"In the meantime - millions of people who have never been able to utter the words 'it happened to me' have released the shame that wasn't theirs to carry in the first place, we have built the country's first political agenda created solely by Survivors, and for the first time since Anita Hill took the stand three decades ago we've had a sustained national dialogue about, not just sexual harassment, but the spectrum of sexual violence in this country. That's in addition to various laws and policies passed, etc. This movement is very much ALIVE.

"You all want to play ping pong and have your way with the hashtag because it doesn't mean anything to you so you try to kill it every few months. But it means something to millions and millions of folks. It means freedom. It means community. It means safety. It means power. You can't kill us. We are beyond the hashtag. We are a movement."

Anita Hill became a national figure in 1991 when she accused US Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, now 73, - who was her supervisor at the United States Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission - of sexual harassment, which he denied.

The '#MeToo' movement spread as a viral hashtag encouraging women to speak up about their sexual harassment experiences after a mass of rape allegations emerged against Hollywood producer Weinstein.

Comedian Cosby has propelled the movement into headlines again as he is currently facing sex abuse allegations in a civil trial, after a Pennsylvania appeals court threw out his criminal sexual assault conviction and freed him from prison 11 months ago.

Depp's victory over Heard has led a mass of commentators and activists to say the jury's verdict will discourage victims of domestic abuse from coming forward.

Emeli Sandé's rapper ex-boyfriend stabbed to death at Queen's Jubilee party

Emeli Sandé's rapper ex-boyfriend has been stabbed to death while celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Hypo, 39, was knifed in the heart when a fight broke out following what is understood to have been a trivial row just after midnight today (03.06.22) at a ticketed party held at a large marquee in Woodford Green, east London.

Paramedics who rushed to the area discovered the singer suffering multiple stab wounds but were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene as stunned revellers looked on.

Partygoers have been slammed as "sick" online for filming the fight and sharing it and its aftermath online.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation and a post-mortem is due to be held to determine the official cause of death.

Police said a large crowd of revellers were at the event in Chigwell Road when the fight broke out at around 12.10am.

Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith of the Met Police today (03.06.22) called for anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

He said: "This man was attacked at a party and we know that a large number of people would have been in attendance.

"I would urge anyone who is yet to speak with us to come forward and let us know what you saw.

"It is possible that events leading up to the stabbing, and perhaps the murder itself, were captured on people's phones.

"Please take a look and call us. It is vital that we establish what happened."

Dreadlocked Hypo, who recently got engaged, has been hailed a leading figure in the east London-based Mashtown rappers collective.

He had filmed himself driving in a Bentley on the way to the event in an Instagram story to his 23,000-plus followers.

Scottish singer Emeli and Hypo dated for around a year before they broke up in 2017, but were said to have stayed friendly.

Hypo, who grew up in Islington, north London, and spent time in Jamaica, is said to have had a troubled past.

Tributes that have flooded social media in the wake of his death included one fan saying: "Hypo was a pioneer in the industry. Met him a couple times and he was a clean hearted guy. This world is crazy."

Another said: "RIP Big Hypes, very sad news to wake up to... we lost a real one."

One described the death as a "sad tragedy", saying: "In his Instagram story he was just living his best life and having fun, later the same day his taken was taken from him."

No arrests have yet been made and the area of the stabbing remains cordoned off.
