As the summer heat gives way to cooler fall temps, antique hunters have several monthly fairs to choose from to feed their addiction, including a brand new market launching on the northwest side of town.

All of the fairs listed below are free:

First Sundays of the month — Antique/vintage fair at Medella Vina Ranch

Every first Sunday of the month, Medella Vina Ranch, at 4450 S. Houghton Road, plays host to Tucson's biggest and busiest antique fair.

With vendors set up across the sprawling property, both indoors and outdoors, the event is a great source for old stuff, selling everything from vintage jewelry and antique photographs to classic toys and kitschy home decor.

The year-round fair hits its peak during the holidays, with row after row of rusty relics up for sale.

Medella Vina officially starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m., but dealers are set up as early as 6 a.m. for the early birds and bargain hunters.

Second Sundays — Mercado Flea downtown

Downtown and University-area dwellers have an option closer to home every second Sunday of the month with the Mercado Flea, off Congress, just west of Interstate 10.

Mercado San Agustín puts on the seasonal vintage fair, which launches this Sunday, Sept. 9, and runs through May. Dealers set up in the lot just east of the Mercado, 100 South Avenida del Convento, and just north of the Mercado's new Annex shopping district, which launched earlier this year.

Come early and grab breakfast at the Mercado after you shop. Show up later and grab a beer at the Annex's Westbound outdoor bar.

The Flea runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A second antique fair taking place on the second Sunday of the month is launching this weekend at the Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road, in Marana.

Dozens of dealers are expected to set up at the brand new event, running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., every second Sunday of the month through May.

The fair will have food trucks and entertainment for the kids. More information here.

Third Sundays — Brandi Fenton Antique Fair

Set amid the grassy fields of Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 3482 E River Road, this antique fair takes places every third Sunday of the month from October through March.

The fair is smaller, but can get busy, especially during the holidays, for antique collectors living in the foothills.

It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
