Micheal Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' choreographer Bruno Falcon dead aged 58

Bruno Falcon, the choreographer mastermind behind one of Michael Jackson's best moves, has died aged 58.

Also known as 'Pop N Taco', the hip-hop dancer passed away Saturday (02.07.22), according to close friends.

His sister Diana Wolgamott told TMZ on Sunday (03.07.22) he died at his home in Long Beach, California.

The outlet said the cause of death was cardiac arrest but it is understood no autopsy will be carried out.

Rapper Ice-T, 64, who worked alongside Bruno for the 1984 film, 'Breakin'', confirmed his friend's death by tweeting: "Yep, just got a text. He was to young. Smh. (sic)"

Bruno was most famous as one of the dancers in Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' music video and as the creator of the 'leaning' dance performed in the video.

Deemed as one of the world's most "impossible" dance moves, the apparently gravity-defying leans were achieved through a combination of Jackson and his dancers' athlete-standard core strength and specially designed shoes.

Falcon also choreographed much of the late singer's 'HIStory' tour in the 1990s, and worked with Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan, and other members of the Jackson family.

His 60-year-old 'Breakin'' dance partner, Popin' Pete - real name Timothy Earl Solomon and father of the 'popping' dance style - posted a video of him hugging Falcon in his later years.

He added on Instagram: "Rest in peace my brother Popin n Taco, you will be missed.. can't believe this. (sic)"

Born June 10, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, Falcon was a popular dancer in the 1980s, mixing popping, locking and breaking, before his break out role in 'Breakin'', about hip-hop culture, made him one of the most in demand celebrity choreographers.

He was also one of a few hip-hop artists of Mexican heritage in the 1980s, which he said left him facing hate.

Falcon said in an interview: "People couldn't believe there was a Mexican who could pop. They would challenge me in front of the school or a party or a high school dance.

"They'd come out, right at you, right in front of your face."

He also appeared in 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey' in 1991 and 1994's 'Thumbelina', and can be seen in the music video for Chaka Khan's 'I Feel for You' - one of the first songs to feature hip-hop - as well as 1983's promo for Lionel Ritchie's 'All Night Long'.

In his later years he taught dance to the public.

Harry Styles concert yards from Copenhagen gun massacre cancelled

A Harry Styles concert 500 yards from the Copenhagen shopping mall gun massacre has been cancelled.

The former One Direction singer, 28, had been due to perform at 8pm local time in the the Royal Arena on Sunday (03.07.22) as part of his highly-anticipated 'Love on Tour' shows.

But after several victims were killed by a gunman, said to be wielding a hunting rifle, at the nearby Field's Shopping Mall, the event was ditched.

Styles, who is dating actress Olivia Wilde, 38, said on Snapchat: "My team and I pray for everyone involved in the Copenhagen shopping mall shooting. I am shocked. Love H."

It had initially been reported the show was expected to go ahead despite the shooting, after law enforcement in the area apparently indicated to organisers it was safe to proceed.

But the show was delayed and then cancelled, with video posted on social media showing an announcer on stage informing fans already at the arena the gig would not go ahead and police would escort them to the metro for them to leave.

One devastated fan said on Twitter: "I know this has been done to keep everyone safe but it's so heartbreaking."

Styles recently pledged to donate $1 million (£790,760) to American non-profit anti-gun violence group Everytown after the deadly Uvalde school shooting in Texas in May.

Before the Copenhagen show's cancellation was confirmed, some Styles fans had started abandoning their plans to attend his gig.

One fan tweeted: "So there was a shooting near the Harry concert in Copenhagen that I was supposed to attend but I'm on my way home now."

Others had pleaded with the singer to cancel his concert before it was confirrned it was not going ahead.

Petrified shoppers including mothers clutching babies were seen fleeing for their lives after shots rang out at the Field's mall.

A 22-year-old Danish man has been arrested in connection with the shooting by armed officers near the shopping centre, according to the head of the Copenhagen police operations unit, inspector Soren Thomassen.

He told a press conference: "We know that there are several dead' and 'several injured," - before adding the possibility it was a terror attack could not be ruled out.

Tom Cruise kicked off 60th birthday singing and dancing to Adele with cake backstage

Tom Cruise kicked off his 60th birthday celebrations singing and dancing to Adele and having birthday cake backstage.

The 'Top Gun: Maverick' actor, who turns 60 on Sunday (03.07.22), watched the Hello singer, 34, live at Hyde Park on Friday. (01.07.22)

VIP suite staff sang 'Happy Birthday' to him backstage as he blew the candle out on a strawberry-smothered Victoria sponge.

The dad-of-three was also spotted at the British Grand Prix on Sunday (03.07.22), and is said to be throwing a party for friends at Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire.

A source said he was seen "bopping along" to Adele's set list, and singing along to the Grammy-winner's lyrics.

It came as it was reported his on-off girlfriend and 'Mission: Impossible' co-star Hayley Atwell, 40, had moved on from their relationship, and is now said to be dating music producer and self-styled pagan Ned Wolfgang Kelly.

An onlooker at the Adele show told The Sun: "Tom looked like he had an absolute blast. He was really going for it with his dancing and seemed to know all the words to sing along.

"After the set finished, staff brought the cake out for him and he couldn't stop saying thank you. He hugged his favourite hostess as they sang Happy Birthday.

"Then he gave a speech about how nice it was for everyone to be able to come together for events again after Covid.

"And Tom said Adele was phenomenal. He was so upbeat and living his best life."

It's thought after the gig he headed back to his hotel in Knightsbridge, London, to continue his weekend-long celebrations.

Groundbreaking theatre director Peter Brook dead aged 97

Groundbreaking theatre director Peter Brook has died aged 97.

The avant-garde pioneer redefined the way the world thought about stage drama, with his productions mounted from London and Paris to African villages, and one his sets famously designed by Salvador Dalí.

His assistant Nina Soufy confirmed on Sunday (03.07.22) he had passed away on Saturday (02.07.22.)

Brook's publisher Nick Hern Books also shared the news, saying: "All of us at NHB are very sad to hear of the death of legendary director Peter Brook, at the age of 97.

"We're honoured to have been Peter's publisher for the past 20 years, sharing his wisdom and insights with the world. He leaves behind an incredible artistic legacy. RIP."

Over the years, Brook directed theatre royalty including Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud, Paul Scofield and Adrian Lester.

He was also a pioneer of focusing on increasing diversity in theatre, saying in an interview with the Evening Standard in 2019 his casting method was "colour-rich" as opposed to "colour-blind".

Brook's landmark 1970 RSC version of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', influenced by a Jerome Robbins ballet and the Peking Circus, was performed in a set consisting of a white cube and featured trapezes, stilts and a forest of steel wire.

Brook's career started when he directed Dr Faustus in 1943 at the Torch Theatre, London.

He went on to become Director of Productions at the Royal Opera House in the capital, staging a controversial production of Richard Strauss's 'Salome' there with sets by surrealist Dalí.

Brook continued to direct and write in his later years and was awarded the prestigious Praemium Imperiale and Prix Italia, as well as being made a CBE in 1965 and a Companion of Honour in 1998.

Actor Lester, 53, led tributes, tweeting: "Sad news. The man was a giant in our field. Asking bold questions and rigorously refusing to settle for mediocrity. His influence changed everything about western theatre, even the design of some of our buildings. RIP Peter. Rest well, sir."

Brook married actor Natasha Parry in 1951 - who died in 2015 aged 84 - and they had two children, Irina, now a director, and Simon, who works as a producer.

KeKe Palmer thrilled to work with Daniel Kaluuya on Nope

KeKe Palmer has "always" wanted to work with Daniel Kaluuya.

The 28-year-old actress was delighted to be offered a role in Jordan Peele's upcoming horror-thriller 'Nope' because it meant she had the chance to share the screen with the 'Get Out' actor.

She told People magazine: "I love Daniel, I've always wanted to work with him. It's one thing to be like 'Oh my gosh I'm going to be in Jordan Peele's movie, but then I'm going to be in Jordan Peele's movie that he's doing again with Daniel!'"

Daniel became a household name thanks to his performance in 'Get Out' but KeKe knew the former 'Skins' actor would be a star long before then.

She said: "When I saw his episode of 'Black Mirror' I said he's really good, like good for real. Acting acting.

"So when 'Get Out' came out I knew it was going to be good 'cause I was like, 'They got the man from the Black Mirror episode!'"

Although KeKe and Daniel have become close friends now, the actress admitted it was hard to get to know her British co-star properly during filming because he was using an American accent.

She said: "Working with him was incredible. It's funny, I got some of his personality when we were working but I really got his personality when he was able to use his accent.

"Most of the time [on set] he was speaking in an American accent, and that does, unfortunately, dull a little bit of your personality because you're like in another language almost, so now that we're going around, doing press together and hanging out, it's like, 'Oh I get to really see the way that you are.'"

The 'Hustlers' actress has long been a fan of horror films and she can't wait for fans to see 'Nope' when it is released later this month.

She said: "It's true what Jordan said, It's like nothing you've ever seen before."

Christian Bale plans to take a break from Hollywood

Christian Bale is set to take an extended break from Hollywood after filming back-to-back movies.

The Oscar-winning actor's latest project, 'Thor: Love and Thunder', hits cinemas this summer and it will be followed by David O. Russell's period drama 'Amsterdam' later in the year - but Christian is now planning to take a break from the movie business.

He told Total Film: "I usually need quite a lot of time in between because I can't spin on a dime. I'm very slow. But the way that things worked out (because of the COVID-19 pandemic), I had to go straight from David's film to Taika's. It was like boom, boom. Straight to the other."

The two movies are very different and Christian insists he's done enough work to last for a while. As a result, he's decided to take a step back from his acting career.

The 48-year-old movie star - who is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood - added: "I worked way more than anybody wanted me to, and I think I will disappear for a while now."

Christian famously uses a method acting technique for many of his on-screen roles, which could explain his need to have long rest periods between projects.

However, his 'Thor: Love and Thunder' co-star Natalie Portman has revealed that Christian didn't stay in character the whole time while playing villain Gorr the God Butcher.

She shared: "On this one thankfully, he was not (in character the whole time). It was terrifying whenever he was in character … But on this one, he'd be like 'Hey, what's up?' It was just a normal conversation, which was jarring because he looked terrifying (because of the prosthetics)."

Kelsey Grammer says Frasier reboot 'is in the final stages'

Kelsey Grammer is in "the final stages" of developing the 'Frasier' reboot.

The 67-year-old actor played Frasier Crane in the hit sitcom between 1993 and 2004, and he's currently working on a long-awaited reboot.

In a preview of his upcoming appearance on 'The Talk', Kelsey explains: "There's been some conversation about maybe [shooting in] October, maybe a little later. I don't know. There are a couple other things coming up. We've developed a couple other projects that look like they're going to shoot first.

"But we're in the final stages of the final script for the first episode of 'Frasier', the reboot. And it looks pretty good. I've had a couple of runs through it, and I cried, so you know, I'm happy."

Kelsey also joked about his own importance to the project.

The actor - who played the part of Fraiser in 'Cheers', before he joined the hit spin-off series - quipped: "The key ingredient for the 'Frasier' reboot is actually Frasier honestly. It was always called [Frasier], so it's me, the key is me."

Kelsey previously revealed that he was keen to reunite the old cast and described the reboot as a "third act".

Kelsey - who starred alongside the likes of David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves in the show's original run - said in an interview last year: "We think we're going to get most of the actors back, I'm certainly hopeful that we will, and I'm fairly confident that they'll come back.

"We have a story to tell - that can actually be told with or without them, honestly - but I want them back because that's what I always dreamed of. I thought we should explore all their lives in their third act, and so that is my hope."

Adele feels 'mortified' over Las Vegas residency

Adele finds the thought of letting down her fans to be "mortifying".

The 34-year-old singer feels she failed her fans by postponing her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas earlier this year, and Adele addressed the issue during her BST Hyde Park performance on Friday (07.01.22).

The Grammy-winning star - who was performing her first UK gig in five years - told the crowd: "I know that a lot of things have happened with this album and I'm sure a lot of you feel that you've been let down and stuff, which is mortifying really and upsetting to me.

"But I take my singing very seriously and the last thing I would ever want to do is let people down but I had to do that, it just wasn't right."

Earlier this year, a source claimed Adele "will do everything she can" to reschedule her Las Vegas residency as soon as possible.

The singer was forced to postpone her shows at Caesars Palace after COVID hit her backstage team, but Adele is determined to reschedule the shows as quickly as possible, according to the insider.

The source said in January: "There are two slots in this year's calendar, from the end of February to the start of May, and from the middle of June to the middle of September. But if they can't work then it could be 2023 by the time they're rescheduled.

"The rest of the weekend dates in the year are taken up by other acts including Sting and Rod Stewart."

Adele has a jam-packed work schedule, but she's determined to take to the stage in Las Vegas.

The insider added: "Adele's schedule is mammoth and it makes rescheduling a challenge but she is devoted to her fans and will do everything she can to get them back in the diary quickly."

Cardi B plans to face her fears

Cardi B is determined to confront her fears.

The chart-topping rap star hasn't performed live since 2019 and although she's "nervous" about taking to the stage after being absent for so long, she won't shy away from the challenge.

During a Twitter exchange with a fan, Cardi was asked: "How do you build up your confidence if you're not feeling confident? #AskCardi (sic)"

In response, Cardi - who is due to perform at the Wireless Festival in the UK in July - stressed the importance of confronting her fears.

The 29-year-old star explained: "By facing it …I haven't performed since 2019 I'm performing again next week .I'm nervous but once I face it I'll be okay and my spirit takes lead #AskCardi (sic)"

Cardi previously insisted she was actually happier before she started making money as a rapper.

The 'WAP' hitmaker - who has Kulture, three, and Wave, nine months, with rap star Offset - said: "One positive thing is that, my family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don't have to worry so much about my future.

"One negative thing is that, even though I'm happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money. I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don't even own my life. I feel like the world owns me."

Despite this, Cardi doesn't have any plans to leave the spotlight.

She said: "I really want to accomplish more records, more Billboard hits.

"I might want to get into acting or designing clothes, but my real goal is to have beautiful kids, a beautiful mansion, and do business that makes me money until the day I die. Then be able pass it on to my children."

Iggy Azalea: I won't let social media dictate to me

Iggy Azalea refuses to let social media dictate her life.

The 32-year-old rap star - who has Onyx, two, with ex-boyfriend Playboi Carti - has taken to Twitter to hit back at her critics, insisting she won't allow them to influence her lifestyle or the decisions she makes.

Iggy - who often voices her opinions on social media - wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "The wildest thing about the internet is y'all don't give a f*** about anyones opinion…. but think I'm supposed to let yours dictate my life?!?!

"I don't give a f*** about yours either! (sic)"

Iggy previously confessed to feeling "perplexed" by Twitter arguments, describing the platform as "crazy".

The chart-topping rap star has been on Twitter since 2010 and she now has more than seven million followers - but Iggy admitted to feeling confused by some of the things she reads online.

She said: "The s*** ppl fight about on Twitter is crazy. Every time I log on I'm perplexed as f*** as to what is happening on my timeline lmaoooo byeeeeeeee (sic)"

Iggy is currently in the midst of a break from the music industry.

And the 'Work' hitmaker previously confessed that her initial ambition in life was to actually become a model, rather than a rapper.

She shared: "In the early 2000s, I was obsessed with reality model competitions. I would watch all those shows and had a fantasy that I would send my pictures into a modeling agency and they would say, 'You're going to be the next top model!'

"Of course, I'm only 11 or 12 years old and I would do my make-up in ways I thought was really high fashion and print them out and send them in to modeling agency, which is now traumatizing thinking of some intern opening an envelope with all these pictures of an 11 year old thinking she's a model."

Lindsay Lohan marries financier Bader Shammas

Lindsay Lohan has married Bader Shammas.

The 36-year-old actress has taken to social media to announce that she's tied the knot with the Dubai-based financier.

Alongside a photo of herself and Bader, Lindsay wrote on Instagram: "I am the luckiest woman in the world. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. [heart emoji] every woman should feel like this everyday [heart and prayer emoji] (sic)"

A rep for the actress subsequently confirmed to 'Entertainment Tonight' that the loved-up couple are now legally married.

Lindsay and Bader announced their engagement in November, when the 'Mean Girls' star shared the news with her social media followers.

Alongside a photo of her sparkling engagement ring, Lindsay said at the time: "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love [ring emoji] (sic)"

Lindsay - who shot to fame as a child and has spent time in rehab due to alcoholism - previously revealed what she was looking for in a man.

The Hollywood star explained in 2019 that she was seeking someone who didn't crave the spotlight and was successful in their own right.

She said: "[I want] someone who hates the spotlight. No, seriously, someone who doesn't have Instagram. [And] a smart businessman.

"I haven't met anyone that's hit those [marks]."

Lindsay also insisted she wouldn't turn to dating apps in her bid to find love.

The actress explained at the time: "It's great for people that it works for and that love it but, no, it's not for me, personally."

Apple Music announces George Michael Covered playlist in honour of Pride month

Years and Years, Billy Porter and MNEK are among the artists to have covered George Michael songs for a new Apple Music playlist to coincide with Pride month.

The back catalogue of the late pop star has been made available in Spatial Audio for the first time and can be streamed on Apple Music.

Other LGBTQIA+ artists to cover the 'Club Tropicana' singers greatest hits include Jake Shears, Pale Waves, Calum Scott and Serpentwithfeet.

Olly Alexander of Years Years, who covered 'Outside', said: "One of the things I love most about George Michael was his ability to own his narrative. He was a huge, huge star. I'm sure he struggled with some of the attention and issues that come with worldwide fame, and he still remained so iconic, so true to who he was.

"He still had fun with it. He was always trying new things and taking risks and unashamedly himself. And I take so much inspiration from that … He got arrested in 1998--I think the terminology is 'soliciting a police officer in a public toilet'--then goes and writes a song about it. And it's such a banger. Wow! I just think it's so incredible for him to just own that narrative and really go, 'Yeah, I like to have sex outside.' And it's such a bop."

Billy Porter, who covered 'Monkey', added: "This was a white boy who could sing. This was a white boy who really had soul, but he wasn't trying to be Black, he wasn't trying to sound Black. It was like he was subliminally speaking to all of us through his music … There was an inherent sass in it that not a lot of men were doing."

Apple Music and GAY TIMES celebrated the release by hosting a special Pride party up on the roof of The Standard hotel in London on Wednesday (06.29.22).

LGBTQIA+ guests such as 'RuPaul's Drag Race' stars Ella Vaday and Kitty Scott-Claus and electropop singer Girli.

The event also featured DJ sets from ABSOLUTE and Nimmo as well as performances from gay dance troupe Sue Veneers Club.

Tessa Thompson spoke in a British accent in England

Tessa Thompson spoke in a British accent throughout her first visit to the UK.

The 33-year-old actress - who was born and raised in the US - has admitted to using a British accent when she first arrived in England.

Recalling her first time in the country on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden', she shared: "I learned I was going to do 'Thor' ... I took on this English accent and when I was here, I would pretend to be British to get into the dialect."

Tessa also embraced some other British traditions.

She said: "It was my first trip. I saved all my money and stayed in a bed and breakfast, I ate beans on toast - everything - and I queued up for the theatre."

Meanwhile, Tessa recently revealed that Valkyrie's sexuality was a "big topic of conversation" among the makers of 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.

The actress has reprised the role of Valkyrie in the Taika Waititi-directed Marvel movie, and she revealed that her character's sexuality was a major point of discussion before and during the shoot.

Tessa - who is attracted to both men and women, but chooses not to label herself bisexual - shared: "We talked about it a lot, it was big topic of conversation. Because I think rightfully there's this real want in audiences to see characters be very clearly queer or LGBTQIA inside these spaces. And I think it's hugely important to have representation.

"And also, as humans, I think that we are not defined by our sexuality, and by who we love. And so sometimes I think to hang a narrative completely on that is a way of actually diminishing the humanity of the character. Because you don't allow them to be anything else."

No women used to look at me, admits Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper "couldn't get into clubs and no girl would look [at him]" at the start of his career.

The 47-year-old actor got his big break starring opposite Jennifer Garner in hit TV show 'Alias' - but Bradley admits he struggled after moving to Los Angeles for his first major acting job, as he felt left out of the city's social scene.

Speaking on Sean Hayes' 'Smartness' podcast, the Hollywood star explained: "I definitely did feel, moving to Los Angeles for 'Alias', like I was back in high school.

"I couldn't get into any clubs, no girl wanted to look at me … I was just totally depressed."

Bradley spent five years on the show. But he went through a tough time after he was written out of 'Alias' and he sustained a nasty Achilles tendon injury while playing basketball.

However, work later picked up and he eventually landed a career-changing role in the 2009 comedy movie 'The Hangover', which propelled him to global stardom and helped to make him to become one of the most sought-after actors in the movie business.

Bradley didn't experience fame properly until he was in his 30s and he appreciated his success more because he was a bit older.

He said on the podcast: "I did have the benefit of that happening when I was 29 … I got to do go through all of those things before fame even played into my existence on a daily level … I definitely made major breakthroughs from 29 to 34, where I was at least able to stand in front of somebody and breathe, listen and talk."

Christian Bale almost turned down Thor role

Christian Bale almost turned down his role in 'Thor: Love and Thunder' when he discovered his character ran around in a G-string.

The Oscar-winning actor has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher - but Christian researched the character before accepting the job and he was horrified to discover the comic book version showed him wearing a cape and a skimpy black thong.

The Hollywood star told Total Film: "I did make the mistake of Googling him and oh no! (In the comics) he runs around in a G-string all the time. And I thought, 'They don't have the right man for that!'"

Christian raised the issue with the film's director Taika Waititi and he was reassured that the character would not be seen in any skimpy undies.

He shared: "Taika quickly dispelled any notions of running around in that."

Despite this, the actor continued to worry that the director could have been joking with him and that he retained the power to use special effects to dress him in the dreaded G-string.

Christian laughed: "I always did think what he could do with this in front of a blue screen - he could chuck on whatever he wants later on."

'Thor: Love and Thunder' marks Christian's first outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after previously portraying DC Comics' antihero Batman in three films - 'Batman Begins', 'The Dark Knight' and 'The Dark Knight Rises'.

Asked if he had any qualms about returning to the world of superheroes, Christian replied: "Absolutely not. No. That didn't even enter into my head at all."

R Kelly 'ordered to get sexual disorder treatment when eventually released from prison'

R Kelly has reportedly been ordered to get sexual disorder treatment when he is eventually released from prison.

The shamed R and B singer - who will be in his 80s if he serves his full 30-year sentence for sex abuse - was told to undergo counselling for an "unspecified sexual disorder" when he is freed, according to TMZ.

Kelly was also said by the outlet to have been ordered by sentencing judge Ann M Donnelly to avoid all contact with anyone aged under 18 and inform anyone choosing to live with him he is a sex offender on being freed.

TMZ added the only way he will be allowed to be around someone under 18 when he is out of prison is if it is a family member, or it's in a therapeutic setting with a "responsible adult" present.

The same terms apparently apply if he ever associates with other convicted sex offenders.

All the scenarios are said to be reliant on permission from Kelly's probation officer, with Kelly

remaining under supervised release for five years once he gets out.

It comes after it was reported Kelly's net worth is said to have plunged to "negative $2 million".

Celebrity Net Worth estimates the shamed singer is far beyond broke, with a balance the equivalent of -£1.65 million.

Kelly, 55, will face a second trial in August on charges he possessed child sexual abuse images.

His scheduled hearing will be the second time he faces allegations linked to such images after he was previously acquitted in 2008 on similar charges.

Kelly - real name Robert Sylvester Kelly - has pleaded not guilty.

The singer was sentenced on Wednesday (29.06.22) to 30 years in prison at the US District Court in New York for masterminding a scheme to entice and sexually exploit young aspiring singers and underage children.

It followed his conviction last year by a jury on multiple counts of racketeering, relating to bribery and forced labour.

The musician was also found to have violated anti-sex trafficking law, the Mann Act.

Sentencing, Judge Donnelly said Kelly had used his "minions" to "lure young fans into your orbit".

The 'Bump n' Grind' singer, who denied all charges and plans to appeal his 30-year sentence, was found guilty on all nine counts against him after a six-week trial in Brooklyn and did not appear to react as his sentence was passed.

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer's wife of 13 years Linda Kramer dies aged 55

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer's wife of 13 years has died.

A representative for the musician confirmed Linda Kramer, a former contract administrator for Hewlett-Packard, had passed away on June 22 aged 55.

The cause of death has not yet been made public.

An obituary obtained by PEOPLE on Friday (01.07.22) described Linda as filled with "a wicked, mischievous sense of humour" who enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies and had "a passion for driving fast cars".

She was also said to have cared deeply about her family, friends, and her dogs, Lucy and Cosmo.

Kramer and Linda were married in October 2009, with the musician calling her the love of his life.

Her obituary said: "Linda loved Joey deeply and his well-being and happiness were her top priority."

She is survived by her husband, her parents, her three sisters, her stepsiblings, her stepson Jesse, as well as her nieces and nephews.

Kramer announced in March he would not be joining Aerosmith for the relaunch of its 'Deuces are Wild' residency in Las Vegas this summer, saying family issues were behind his "temporary leave of absence".

The dates were cancelled in May when the band's frontman Steven Tyler, 74, went into rehab after a relapse in his sobriety following a recent foot surgery.

News of Kramer's wife's death came as Tyler was said to be doing "amazingly well" after completing a 30-day rehabilitation stint following his addiction battle.

The singer is said to be clean and sober after checking himself out of a rehab facility, family sources told TMZ on Friday (01.07.22), with insiders adding the performer is at a "healthy weight".

Aerosmith's next show is set to take place at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine, on 4 September.

Rachel Stevens splits from husband Alex Bourne

Rachel Stevens has split from her husband of more than 10 years Alex Bourne.

The S Club singer, 44, and her childhood sweetheart, 45, have broken up after marrying in 2009 and having daughters Amelie, 11, and Minnie, eight.

Stevens posted an Instagram story on Friday (01.07.22) that said: "I just wanted to share with you all that after time and consideration the difficult decision has been made for Alex and I to separate.

"While we are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other."

She signed off: "I feel so incredibly grateful for the life we built together and will now continue to be focused on moving forward united as a family."

Stevens, propelled to fame as part of pop group S Club in 1999, went on to be a major pin-up before going on to feature on the fourteenth series of 'Dancing on Ice' this year, coming second with 43-year-old dance partner Vincent Simone.

She recently insisted she would love to recreate her magazine photoshoot days, telling The Sun: "Yes I'd do another bikini shoot, why not? I loved doing those shoots because it was an opportunity to do something where I could express myself in a different way to 'Top Of The Pops' or 'Smash Hits' and all those other magazines the band did.

"I love photoshoots and find them really creative. I love getting involved with how we are going to make the pictures look."

Her exes include actor Jeremy Edwards, 51, to whom she got engaged in 2002 before they split two years later.

Angela Lansbury's devastation after being abandoned by gay husband

Angela Lansbury was left distraught after her first husband walked out on her and she later found out he was gay.

The 'Murder, She Wrote' star tied the knot with fellow actor Richard Cromwell when she was just 19 and he was 35, but the marriage last less than a year as he left her with no warning and just a brief note as an explanation which read "Sorry. I can't go on".

She told Terry Gross' Fresh Air radio show: "I had known so many gay people in Hollywood. It just had never really sunk in ... I was in love with love. And I just - it was a shock, but it wasn't a shock because I was so in love with Richard Cromwell when I married him that I was just - you know, I'd never had any kind of experience ... I had nothing to draw on to know ... I had had no experience sexually ... "

However, Angela insisted she never blamed Richard and they remained good friends up until his death from liver cancer in 1960.

She added: "When it turned out that he was (gay), I never blamed him for it in any way. And I realised that I had just made an excruciating error, you know, an emotional error ... But I don't regret it because I learned so much during ... the short time that we were together ..."

The actress credited her first husband with introducing her to some of Hollywood's elite, including his good friend Joan Crawford, and she is thankful to have had that experience.

She told the Daily Mail: "I may have been mature in some ways but I was also a greenhorn, as they say. He was such an attractive man, so full of fun. He knew all the old movie stars; he was a great friend of Joan Crawford, for instance. He showed me a world full of colours I'd never seen. So why he wanted to marry me, I'll never know."

After divorcing Richard in 1946, she went on to marry Peter Shaw in 1949. They became parents to two children and remained together until his death in 2013.

Simon Cowell 'broke Sinitta's heart when he started dating Lauren Silverman'

Simon Cowell broke Sinitta's heart when he started dating Lauren Silverman.

The 'X Factor' creator's ex-girlfriend Sinitta, 58, said he also turned his back on a secret pact they apparently had by seeing Silverman in 2013, around the time the 'So Macho' singer believed they would start to rekindle their romance.

They dated in the 1980s when Sinitta - full name Sinitta Malone - was signed to 62-year-old Cowell's label, Fanfare Records.

She told Mail Online she "wanted to still be with him" around 2013 and "genuinely thought they were working things out".

Speaking at Metro's 50 Years of Pride celebration in London on Friday (01.07.22), she added she has come to terms with her "unrequited love" for the music mogul, and is now keen on officiating their upcoming wedding as an ordained minister.

Sinitta, who says she had become close friends with Cowell's fiancée Silverman, 44, since her children Magdelena and Zac, both 17, used to play with the socialite's son Adam, now 16, from a previous marriage to 47-year-old Andrew Silverman.

Sinitta said: "It was about 10 years ago and yeah I was wanting to still be with him then, yes. So that was upsetting and... unrequited love but I'm not gonna kill myself over it.

"It was kind of on and off, on and off, so there was kind of an unspoken understanding that was obviously a misunderstanding on my part but it's ok.

"I'm not the villain cos I genuinely thought we were working things out and that's why it was upsetting but that's life, right? Maybe I'll meet someone at his wedding."

Cowell met Silverman when she was still married to millionaire property developer Andrew, and the 'X Factor' boss' life changed at the end of July 2013 when news broke of Lauren's pregnancy with their son Eric, now aged eight.

Sinitta added about the scandal: "Obviously it wasn't my happiest moment because I wanted to be with him but I got over it and we've all lived happily... well, we've all lived to tell the tale.

"Lauren and I were best friends. We were literally best friends."

R Kelly's net worth 'has plunged to negative $2 million'

R Kelly's net worth is said to have plunged to "negative $2 million".

Celebrity Net Worth estimates the convicted sex abuser is far beyond broke, with a balance the equivalent of -£1.65 million.

The site says: "In April 2020, Kelly revealed to a judge - in making a case for being released from prison - that he owes nearly $1.9 million (£1.6 million) to the IRS alone."

According to TMZ, as part of an attempt to show Kelly was not a flight risk during his trial, his lawyers filed legal documents showing the fallen 1990s R and B superstar owed $1.8 million (£1.4 million) to the IRS.

In 2019, Kelly's attorney Steve Greenberg argued for the singer's $1 million (£826,000) bond to be reduced, telling a judge his client's finances were "a mess".

After the bond hearing, Greenberg told reporters: "This is someone who should be wealthy at this stage of his career… and through mismanagement, through hangers-on, and bad contracts, and bad deals, and bad leases like he had in his studio. He really doesn't have any money at this point."

It's been estimated at the height of Kelly's career he had a net fortune of around $100 million (£82.5 million.)

His 1995 'R.Kelly' album sold four million copies and he went on to release a string of multi-platinum records.

Kelly will face a second trial in August on charges he possessed child sexual abuse images.

Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt gets engaged

Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt is engaged to marry his girlfriend Mica von Turkovich.

The musician is preparing to marry his longtime partner after staging an elaborate proposal at New York's Radio City Music Hall - the venue where they first met at one of the band's gigs back in 2012.

Kendall posted a picture of the magical moment on his Instagram page, and wrote: "My heart and soul. I'll love you forever."

The picture shows him down on one knee on the stage at the fabled Manhattan venue and People.com reports his bandmates Logan Henderson, Carlos PenaVega and James Maslow were all in attendance when he popped the question.

Kendall first met Mica at Radio City Music Hall 10 years ago when he played there with Big Time Rush. Mica had been working as a nanny in the city and they became good friends before their relationship developed into romance.

The musician previously posted a sweet tribute to his partner on social media - crediting her with changing his life for the better.

In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "Any description of how @mica_chu has changed my life would be an understatement. It's been a pleasure to be with her as the days go by. I envy the way she sees things. Her true purpose is to make a meaningful difference in the world and I know that's exactly what she's going to do. She gives me a reason to be the best man I can be. And in turn, I do everything in my power to be everything she deserves."

Dave Bautista urges men to 'be loud' about women's rights

Dave Bautista has called for men to be "louder about the rights of women".

The former WWE champion insisted it shouldn't just be women speaking out about the US Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade - meaning abortion will be banned or restricted in several states - and thinks guys should do more to make sure females are not marginalised.

Asked how important he thinks it is for "men who look like [him] get a lot louder for women, he said: "I don't think it has anything to do with men who look like me.

"Every f***** man needs to be louder about the rights of women.

"[They should be] speaking out. Be f***ing loud."

The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star then took an apparent swipe at fellow wrestlers-turned-actors John Cena and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson on their silence on the subject.

Asked if he felt they should speak out, he said: "I can't speak for them, but obviously they're not super outspoken when it comes to things that might make them look... bad."

Last September, Texas passed a law which effectively banned abortion after six weeks of pregnancy and Dave, 53, previously shared his objection to the ruling.

Sharing a photo of himself wearing a shirt reading 'Her body, her choice', he tweeted at the time: "There are very few things in this world that I'm not open to discussion about. This is one of them. If you disagree, I don't give AF."

He also criticised the entire state of Texas and its governor, Gregg Abbott.

He posted: "I give this state one star! Ugh! So bad! They make no sense! They love life but they're ok with death from guns or Covid. They love voting rights but only in the designated conservative voting areas. They love freedom but not for liberals. And the manager! Mr Abbott! #TexasTaliban (sic)"

Miles Teller's grandma launches campaign for him to be next James Bond

Miles Teller's grandma has launched campaign for him to be the next James Bond.

The 'Whiplash' star's relative Leona Flowers - who goes by the nickname Mup - is convinced her grandson is the perfect replacement for Daniel Craig who stepped down from the role of 007 after the release of his final film 'No Time To Die' - so she's taken to Twitter to get her message across.

In a post on the social media site, Leona insisted Miles is the right man for the job, writing: "They're looking for an actor to replace Daniel Craig for future 007 movies.

"I think my grandson, Miles Teller, has proven that he has everything they're looking for - talent, looks, strength, worldwide appeal oh, so cool. He can be that guy!! Wouldn't he be great?"

Many of her followers agreed with her, but some pointed out that Bond has historically been played by British actors while Miles is American.

However, Leona is adamant her 35-year-old grandson is great with accents and could easily convince moviegoers he's a Brit.

She added: "He could make you think he was (British) ... And lots of Europeans have played Americans. He studied acting which includes accents. He'd be great."

It comes after James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli insisted they haven't got anyone in mind for the role yet as they are still deciding what to do with 007.

She told Deadline.com: "Nobody's in the running. We're working out where to go with him, we're talking that through. There isn't a script and we can't come up with one until we decide how we're going to approach the next film because, really, it's a reinvention of Bond. We're reinventing who he is and that takes time. I'd say that filming is at least two years away."

Hayden Christensen gained 30 pounds to play Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi

Hayden Christensen gained 30 pounds to play Darth Vader in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'.

The actor has reprised his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the new Disney+ series opposite his former movie co-star Ewan McGregor who returned to play Obi-Wan once again - and Hayden has revealed he had to gain more than two stone to fit into the Sith Lord's iconic black suit.

He told Fatherly: "I think that process (of putting on weight) was very important for me. I needed to become that character again, physically. I just consumed as many calories as possible. I put on 25 or 30 pounds to fill out that (Darth Vader) suit."

The 41-year-old actor explained it took nine months for him to bulk up and he tried to maintain his new physique after filming on the 'Star Wars' show wrapped, but he ended up going to back to his old ways.

Hayden added: "I try to avoid the dad bod thing. And I was trying to maintain that Vader body after we finished. But, honestly, I pretty much just went back to my old diet. I kind of deflated after that."

Hayden's co-star Ewan recently opened up about what it was like facing Darth Vader onset and admitted it was a terrifying experience.

During an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Ewan explained: "It was frightening to see him again though. I hadn't acted with Darth Vader. "And I've been acting a long time. I think I've done a lot of stuff. But the first take with Darth Vader scared the s*** out of me."

When asked about seeing Hayden in the black suit for the first time, Ewan added: "They went, 'Action!' And I'm walking down and I hear something, I turn around and f*** Darth Vader is coming at me. I swear to god, I just about s*** my pants, really."

Valkyrie's sexuality was a big topic of conversation, says Tessa Thompson

Valkyrie's sexuality was a "big topic of conversation" among the makers of 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.

Tessa Thompson has reprised the role of Valkyrie in the Taika Waititi-directed Marvel movie, and she's revealed that her character's sexuality was a major point of discussion before and during the shoot.

Tessa, 38 - who is attracted to both men and women, but chooses not to label herself bisexual - shared: "We talked about it a lot, it was big topic of conversation.

Tessa admits it's difficult to explore the issue in real depth in a movie like 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. However, she's hopeful that it'll happen one day.

She told Yahoo Entertainment: "It becomes the only storyline, particularly in a movie like this where you don't, frankly, have a lot of room for storyline,.

"So there was a lot of conversation in terms of how to treat that with Valkyrie. And I feel really good, personally, about where we got to.

"I hope that she's a character that fans continue to connect to, that we have a lot of time to explore her, in all of her humanity. But whether or not she finds love in this movie doesn't mean she's not still a fabulous queer character that is open to finding love when it makes sense."

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughter Lola escapes horror car crash

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughter Lola has been involved in a terrifying car crash in California.

Lola Sheen, 17, was driving her Volkswagen on a road close to the Santa Monica Mountains with three passengers on board when she crashed into an embankment, but the teenager and the three others all escaped without serious injury.

A spokesman for Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station told The Sun they were involved in assisting California Highway Patrol and a search and rescue unit in the aftermath of the crash, with a representative confirming the car hit the embankment but did not go over the cliff side.

They added no one was in need of hospital treatment, telling the publication: "Nobody was taken to the hospital but the minor driver complained of a headache after the collision."

The road is believed to be dark and winding which can make it treacherous when travelling in the evening.

It's only been a few months since Lola passed her driving test. Her mum Denise shared a picture of the teen standing by her car holding her paperwork in her hand on New Year's Day (01.01.22).

In the post on Instagram, she wrote: "Woohoo!!! Nothing like celebrating 2022 than my Lola getting her drivers licence!!!! I'm so proud of you so happy for you Lolee!!!"

In one of the comments, the happy teen thanked her mother for supporting her as she learned to drive, writing: "I love you so much mom thank you so much for giving me the confidence. Such a special moment."

Lola and her 18-year-old sister Sami are Denise's children from her marriage to Charlie, while the 'Wild Things' star also has an adopted daughter Eloise who is 11.

Bruce Willis 'wanted to work' after aphasia diagnosis

Bruce Willis "wanted to work" and was "capable of continuing to work" after being diagnosed with .

The 67-year-old star's family revealed in March that he was "stepping away" from his career as a result of the condition - which is degenerative and affects language and speech - and his lawyer has now hit back at claims the 'Die Hard' star's frequent collaborator, 'Midnight in the Switchgrass' director Randall Emmett, pushed him to keep working despite his struggles.

Martin Singer told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: "My client continued working after his medical diagnosis because he wanted to work and was able to do so, just like many others diagnosed with aphasia who are capable of continuing to work."

Anna Szymanska, who worked as Emmett's assistant until she resigned in February after a year, told the outlet that Bruce was "never alone" during his two days filming 'Wrong Place', one of his last movies with the Emmett/Furla Oasis production company, and relied on guidance from his associates Stephen J. Eads and Adam Huel Potter, who fed the actor his lines through an earpiece.

Anna said: "He was never alone. When nobody from Bruce's team was around, the crew would say how sad we were to see him in this state."

Bruce's attorney insisted his client should be "commended" for his desire to keep working despite his difficulties.

He said: "[It is similar to] Stevie Wonder having an assistant lead him on stage to perform, or Marlee Matlin's reliance on a sign language interpreter. My client allegedly relying on Stephen Eads or others to provide certain assistance is in the same vein ... It ought to be commended.

"Because Mr. Willis appeared in those films, they could get financed. That resulted in literally thousands of people having jobs, many during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The claims in the Los Angeles Times piece are part of a wider expose of the producer, who is accused of inappropriate behaviour by multiple women, including offering acting roles in return for sexual favours, and forcing assistants to conduct illegal activity on his behalf.

He has denied the claims against him.

Logan Paul signs with WWE

Logan Paul has officially signed with WWE.

The YouTube megastar inked a contract with the wrestling company earlier this week and has already set his sights on challenging his former tag team partner The Miz.

Logan teamed up with the wrestling legend at WrestleMania, when they took on The Mysterios in The Showcase of the Immortals, only for his partner to drop him with a Skull-Crushing Finale following their victory.

And despite speculation they could team up again, Logan held up a sign when he visited the WWE Headquarters this week which read: "Coming 4 U @Miz."

WWE's official website reports their new signing will be "out for payback" at the upcoming SummerSlam event.

According to ESPN, the 27-year-old fighter has signed a multi-event deal which includes appearances in several WWE premium live events, as well as featuring on their weekly TV shows as needed.

Ahead of his debut at WrestleMania 38, Logan admitted he was hoping to join WWE full time.

He previously said: "To be honest, bro… Probably. Yeah, probably. It just has to make sense with my schedule.

"I'm doing so much stuff and I have to really be careful where I allocate my energy. This happened with boxing. At first I did it, I tried it out and I loved it, so I kept doing it.

"Today was the first day - because we had training today - I was like 'oooh yeah, this is f****** fun.' "

Logan admitted there is every chance he'll "fall in love" with wrestling once he's in front of the WWE fans, and he admits the crowd's reaction will determine his future.

He added: "So again, I fall in love with this sport and I soak in the energy at WrestleMania and feel like there's a future for me here, man, I'm gonna have to run with it.

"But it's not my decision, it's up to the fans. Either love me or hate me - that's great. But if they're indifferent to me, we got a f****** problem and I'll probably get out of this sport."

Zooey Deschanel feared she'd been ghosted by Jonathan Scott

Zooey Deschanel feared her boyfriend Jonathan Scott had ghosted her during the early days of their relationship.

The pair met on an episode of 'Carpool Karaoke' in 2019 and started texting each other, but Jonathan headed off on a trip to the Rocky Mountains where he had no phone signal - and the actress was convinced he'd ditched her when she didn't hear from him for four days.

During an interview with Bustle, Jonathan revealed he got back in touch as soon as he could with a sweet video message. He said: " The very first text I sent when I came out of the mountains was a video I recorded to a Canadian country song that she had mentioned to me. She was like, 'Oh, this guy likes me.' And we've literally talked every single day since. It's been the best three years of my life."

Zooey added to the publication that she's learned to be more open since she started dating the reality TV star, saying: "(Jonathan's) from a different world. I kept my cards close to my chest. But everything about him was kind of out there because people know him. I'm like, 'He's so nice, kind, funny and smart, why wouldn't I want to tell everybody?'"

The couple celebrated a major milestone in their relationship in December 2021 when they bought their first house together following a series of delays caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

They have now moved into the lavish property in Los Angeles with Zooey's two kids, Charlie, six, and Elsie, four, from her previous marriage to Jacob Pechenik.

In a post online, the 'Property Brothers' star wrote:"As we pulled up the drive, it just seemed…magical. It sat on a little over an acre, and with its lush lawn and massive California sycamores, it looked like a park. Which is why when we first brought the kids by the property, they dubbed it the Park House. And you know what happens when you name something, whether it's a mangy stray dog or a beautiful home of your dreams? You keep it. The next thing you know, Zooey and I owned the Park House." He added: "Eight months into our relationship, I already knew Zooey was the yin to my yang, the PB to my J. We were on parallel paths toward the happiness we'd been seeking our whole lives. Zooey and I met for the first time in 2019, shooting that most romantic of television shows: Carpool Karaoke. I obviously knew about her, but the on-screen experience isn't the same thing as in real life. From the first moment she walked over to say hello, she had a bounce in her step and an energy about her that made me immediately take notice."

Claire Foy received 1,000 emails in a month from alleged stalker

Claire Foy received over 1,000 emails in a month from her alleged stalker.

The 'Crown' actress' legal representatives warned a court on Thursday (30.06.22) that 38-year-old star was under "significant risk" from Jason Penrose, who allegedly targeted her between November and December last year because he wanted to be her boyfriend.

Penrose was accompanied by NHS workers and gave his address as Highgate Mental Health Centre when he appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in London as an application for a full stalking protection order (SPO) was made against him.

Rosa Bennathan, on behalf of the Metropolitan Police, told the court Penrose had emailed Claire's agent in August and September 2021 saying he was a director and producer and wanted her to appear in his next film.

The 'First Man' actress told her agent she didn't know who he was, and later that year he bombarded her with over 1,000 emails, as well as emailing her publicist, contacting her sister and visiting her address after finding out where she lived.

One email sent to Claire's publicist, Emma Jackson, allegedly said: "I'm sorry I think Claire('s) policy should be not talking about any personal stuff in media and only creative business."

Penrose is said to have sent explicit emails to Emma, writing about "wanting her to be his girlfriend".

Court documents stated Claire called police on 17 December to report "Jason Penrose was outside her residence ringing on her doorbell constantly."

Rosa said: "There have clearly been acts that amount to stalking, posing a significant risk to Ms Foy."

She argued the order was "necessary to protect them".

However, a hearing to rule on a full SPO was adjourned until 22 July after Penrose arrived without legal representation.

Moira McFarlaine, who arrived later to speak on his behalf, opted for an adjournment.

She said: "His mental health is still under question."

An interim SPO granted in February has been extended until 28 July as a result.

A breach of the order could lead to prosecution but Penrose promised he would not attempt to communicate with the actress, her family or her agent.

Ezra Miller investigated over trespass claims

Ezra Miller is no longer facing legal trouble in Germany after prosecutors reportedly dropped a trespassing investigation.

The star had been accused of refusing to leave the Berlin home of a woman named only as Zara after she invited them there one evening in February - with the woman alleging the star became verbally abusive and only left after she called the police.

Variety.com reports she filed a criminal complaint against Miller but dropped the case when it emerged he had left Germany.

Zara told the publication Miller allegedly had a meltdown after she insisted they couldn't smoke inside her home. She said: "That just set them off,. I asked them to leave about 20 times, maybe more. They started insulting me. I'm a 'transphobic piece of s**t.' I'm a 'Nazi.' It became so, so stressful for me. They were going around my house, looking at everything, touching everything, spreading tobacco leaves on the floor. It felt disgusting and very intrusive ... I totally felt unsafe."

The 'We Need to Talk About Kevin' star has been a regular in the headlines in recent months and was previously accused of sheltering a teenage runaway Tokata Iron Eyes, whose parents have filed a restraining order against the star.

The 18 year old, who is now said to be using the name Gibson, later spoke out insisting they are not in any danger. They explained they dropped out of college five months ago and had been mourning the death of a friend, crediting Miller with supporting them through the difficult time. In the statement posted online, the teen wrote: "I'd like to make a statement to acknowledge the tragedy that is the narrative of the general public and the assumptions made on my behalf by my family and friends regarding my stability and otherwise ... "My comrade Ezra Miller ... has only provided loving support and invaluable protection throughout this period of loss ... "I am now aware of the severity of emotional and psychological manipulation I was made to endure while in my parents home ... I am an adult and I deserve to feel authority in my own body."

Lala Kent accuses Randall Emmett of 'tackling' her to the ground

Lala Kent has claimed Randall Emmett "tackled" her to the ground when she confronted him about infidelity rumours.

The 'Vanderpump Rules' star split from the producer last year after almost six years together after she was told photos of her then-fiance leaving an elevator with two women in Nashville was circulating online, and she claimed when he arrived home, she asked to see the contents of his phone but grabbed it from him when he refused, allegedly resulting in him lacking out.

She told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: "He ran after me, tackled me and knocked me to the ground.

"I used every ounce of strength to get him off of me as he was trying to pry it from my hands. … That was when I knew, for sure, that there was a lot he was hiding."

Five people told the publication Lala had told them about the incident within days or weeks of it happening, but Randall denied a physical fight had occurred and their nanny, Isabelle Morales, said "neither was on the ground".

She added: "I witnessed Randall and Lala fighting over his phone. The only physical interaction I saw was Randall taking back his phone from Lala."

Lala - who has 15-month-old daughter Ocean with Randall - also claimed the 'Midnight in the Switchgrass' director offered to pay her $14,000 to keep their relationship quiet in the early days of their romance.

The 31-year-old star was preparing to film the fifth season of 'Vanderpump Rules' in 2016 and producers wanted to include her new boyfriend, but he was still married to Ambyr Childers at the time, though he had insisted they had separated.

Lala claimed Randall asked her to meet with his attorney Keith Davidson, and she and her mother, Lisa Burningham, went to his office, where they were presented with an agreement stating the reality star would be given $14,000 in exchange for keeping the relationship quiet.

Lisa recalled: "I said, 'We're done'."

The pair insisted Lala didn't take the money and she ended their relationship, but they later rekindled their romance after his divorce was finalised in December 2017.

Lawyer Keith said he couldn't discuss the matter due to attorney-client privilege, and a source close to Randall said the account was inaccurate.

The claims in the Los Angeles Times piece are part of a wider expose of the producer, who is accused of inappropriate behaviour by multiple women, including offering acting roles in return for sexual favours, and forcing assistants to conduct illegal activity on his behalf.

He has denied the claims against him and a spokesperson has accused Lala of orchestrating a smear campaign.

His representative, Sally Hofmeister, told E!: "These allegations are false and part of a now-familiar smear campaign orchestrated by Randall's ex-fiancée to sway their custody dispute.

"Lala Kent has lied and manipulated others in her desperate attempt to win full custody of their daughter, keep her name in the press, and remain relevant in reality television."

But a source close to the Bravo star insisted Lala "had no part in coordinating an L.A. Times expose that goes back 10-15 years prior to even meeting him."

They added: "She's a drop in the bucket in this overall story. This piece is about business."

Red Hot Chili Peppers axe Glasgow gig due to illness

Red Hot Chili Peppers have cancelled their Glasgow gig on Friday night (01.07.22) due to "illness".

The 'Californication' rockers will no longer be playing Bellahouston Park in the Scottish city as planned and are working to reschedule the show.

A social media statement read: "Due to illness RHCP will not be able to perform in Glasgow tonight July 1. We are working on ways to reschedule. Pls hold onto your tickets and wait for an update soon. RHCP love Scotland and are deeply disappointed not to be able to perform the show. Thank you for your understanding. (sic)"

The gig cancellation comes after A$AP Rocky was so late to his support gig on the tour that headliners RHCP had to perform first.

The 33-year-old rapper was due to follow opening act Thundercat at the 'By The Way' rockers' concert at Manchester's Emirates Old Trafford last week.

But as he was running so behind schedule, Anthony Kiedis and co were forced to play his slot, meaning the 'Praise The Lord' hitmaker ended up becoming the headliner, much to the dismay of RHCP fans.

One gig-goer tweeted: "A$AP Rocky has somehow just ruined a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig."

Another wrote: "Been going to gigs for 30 odd years and never seen anything like it. Many disappointed fans. Bizarre end to the night."

The 50,000 crowd members were given notice of the swap on signs in the venue, which read: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, A$AP Rocky will now play immediately after the Red Hot Chili Peppers."

His lateness came after the hip-hop star - who recently welcomed his first child with long-time partner Rihanna - was granted bail for $550,000 after he was arrested in connection with a shooting.

Rocky - whose real name is Rakim Mayers - was detained by police when his private plane flew into Los Angeles International Airport on April 20 in relation to an alleged incident that took place around 10.20pm on November 6, 2021.

The victim reportedly told cops the 'Everyday' rapper was walking with two others in the street when he approached him with a handgun. The unnamed victim alleged the rapper shot at him three or four times, and believed one of the bullets had grazed his left hand.

Rocky was released after posting bail.

He had been in Barbados with his then-pregnant girlfriend Rihanna but it was unclear if the 'Diamonds' hitmaker was with him when he returned to the US from his vacation before he was arrested.

Goo Goo Dolls unveil 13th studio album Chaos in Bloom

Goo Goo Dolls will release their 13th studio album 'Chaos in Bloom' on August 12.

The 'Iris' hitmakers - comprising John Rzeznik and Robby Takac - recorded the 10-track LP amid the global pandemic at Dreamland Studios just outside Woodstock, New York.

Frontman John - who produced the album himself for the first time - said: "'Chaos in Bloom' reminded us how special this whole thing is and to cherish the relationships that we have together.

"Where we've been, and where we're going."

Bassist and songwriter Robby added: "I've been trying to have a relationship with the bigger picture and refining happiness and what it means from that perspective."

The lead single, 'Yeah, I Like You', is out now and is about the rise of internet celebrities who are "famous for doing nothing".

John, 56, said: "In a world that is just drowning in social media and internet stars, many of whom are certainly talented, but many confirm that in 2022 you can be famous for doing nothing.

"Celebrity in this age has a very quick burn. It was hard not to be consumed by it during the pandemic."

The frontman previously opened up about how the global pandemic has made him even more thankful he's been able to make a living and support his family as a rock star.

He said: "I feel this real sense of gratitude that I've actually been able to have a career and have more than one song that people know. I'm really proud of that.

"You know, those songs gave me a life and a way to take care of my family ... and it's fun. I never thought in a million years that I would ever get to play music for a living. That's something that never fades from me."

Last year, the alternative rockers released the career-spanning collection 'Rarities'.

In 2020, Goo Goo Dolls dropped the festive LP 'It's Christmas All Over'.

Their 12th studio album, 'Miracle Pill', was released the year before.

The band will hit the road for their first US tour since 2019 this summer, kicking off on July 15, 2022 in Nampa, Idaho.

'Chaos in Bloom' track-listing:

1. 'Yeah, I Like You'

2. 'War'

3. 'Save Me From Myself'

4. 'Let The Sun'

5. 'Loving Life'

6. 'Going Crazy'

Busy Philipps arrested after protest

Busy Philipps has been arrested after taking part in an abortion rights protest.

The former 'Dawson's Creek' actress joined a group of leaders from Planned Parenthood and other activists outside the US Supreme Court - who ruled last week to overturn the landmark Roe V. Wade ruling and the constitutional right to a termination - on Thursday (30.06.22), where she was picked up by police for blocking traffic.

In a video shared by Vice News, the 43-year-old star - who has Birdie, 13, and Cricket, eight, with her ex-husband Marc Silverstein - was seen being escorted away by officers while wearing a crop top bearing the slogan: "I WILL AID AND ABET ABORTION".

When questioned by a reporter, she said she got arrested "for equality".

The 'Cougar Town' actress - who has spoken in the past about having a termination when she was 15 - shared videos and photos from the protest on her own Instagram account and said she was "proud" to have taken part.

She wrote in a lengthy Instagram post: "I was proud to stand today alongside Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the Working Family's Party, Reverend Barber and the Poor People's Campaign, Catholic's for Choice, The National Council of Jewish Women, mi Familia Vota, the Center For Popular Democracy Action and NARAL in an action of peaceful civil disobedience to let lawmakers but more importantly, the people who will be most impacted by this outrageous decision, know that we will not back down, we will not give in and we will not stop fighting until there is equality for all Americans."

Busy warned protesting the ruling - which will see many states ban abortion outright - will be the "fight of a lifetime" and called for people to "show up" and speak out.

She continued: "I can think of no better way to use my privilege and voice than to amplify the message that bodily autonomy IS a human right, as it is ACTUALLY the exact same thing as the promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must ensure that it applies to all of us.

"This is the fight of a lifetime, y'all. It's not gonna be short, easy or without setbacks.

"But we must MUST MUST keep showing up and taking action. *YOU* must. I promise I will.

"These horrible hateful small people who have been hiding behind "the will of God" and indoctrinating new believers every day aren't reflective of ANYTHING- not the greatness or compassion of humanity and certainly not God. I'm pretty sure God has no interest in this bulls****, honey. And fyi, if Jesus were alive today, you KNOW his DMs would be filled with death threats from the followers of F***** Carlson and the rest of these a*******.

"ENOUGH OF THIS. ENOUGH OF BEING BULLIED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR ME. WE HAVE TO ALL SHOW THE F*** UP. I DON'T KNOW WHO NEEDS TO HEAR THIS BUT WE NEED TO SHOW THE F*** UP NOW."

Cardi B drops Kanye West and Lil Durk collaboration

Cardi B has released her Kanye West and Lil Durk collaboration 'Hot S***'.

The 'Hustlers' actress had been sitting on the track for "almost three years".

She said recently: "I think this record is actually older than 'WAP.' It is everyone's favourite."

Kanye's verse includes a nod to the late fashion icon Virgil Abloh, who was artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton.

He raps: "When we lost Virg', I was on the verge, mm-mm.

"I just hit the Louis store, I had to splurge, mm-mm."

The song's release comes after the rapper admitted she was "upset" over the execution of the song and very nearly didn't release it.

Although she agreed to drop the track in the end, the 29-year-old star refuses to make a music video to accompany the song.

During a teary Instagram Live with fans, she said: "I'm just so overwhelmed and so upset. A lot of people have been dropping the ball for the last two months, there has been a lot of miscommunication.

"So I wanted to cancel my release for this week because s*** is not being executed how it's supposed to. But then I'm like, it's too drastic. So I will be dropping the song but I will not be releasing a music video with this song.

"I'm just exhausted with everybody. I'm so tired of people not doing their f****** job correctly."

How the collaboration with the two rappers came about remains unknown, however, Cardi previously admitted she is "too shy" to ask male artists to work with her.

The 'Up' hitmaker - who has appeared on songs with the likes of Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 - admitted she doesn't have the nerve to ask some of her favourite male counterparts to jump on a track with her because she get's "star-struck" easily and fears she will sound "corny".

She said: "When female artists are rising, you don't have to put one down because the others are rising. Every single time a female rapper comes out, people wanna start fake beef. Maybe because they don't see me [with other women] as often as people want to. The thing is, I'm shy -- and really shy to reach out to male artists, to be honest with you. That's why a lot of collabs that I want, I haven't gotten yet because I'm scared to reach out. I always get a little star-struck. I be thinking I'm corny, even though I'm funny."

'Hot S***' is Cardi's first track as the lead artist since November's 'Bet It'.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the hip-hop star's follow-up to her 2018 debut studio album 'Invasion of Privacy'.

Kanye West sued for not seeking permission to sample Marshall Jefferson track

Kanye West is being sued over an unauthorised sample used on the 'Donda 2' track 'Flowers'.

The hip-hop legend - who legally changed his name to Ye - has been hit by the lawsuit by Chicago house legend Marshall Jefferson's publisher, Ultra International Music Publishing (UIMP).

Filed in a New York federal court earlier this week, Ye has been accused of using Jefferson's 1986 track 'Move Your Body' without being granted permission or providing royalties.

According to the lawsuit, the sample is allegedly "repeated 22 times" on 'Flowers'.

The 'Jesus Walks' rapper is said to have told both Jefferson and UIMP that he is aware he's used the track.

However, the lawsuit adds: "Despite this acknowledgement, West has not ceased distribution of 'Flowers.' Defendants' conduct is wilful and deliberate."

It goes on: "Defendants know and have been informed that they do not possess a license to utilise the Composition in the Unauthorized Work, and yet continue to wilfully infringe in blatant disregard of UIMP's rights of ownership."

The publisher wants Ye to remove the song from streaming services and is seeking a minimum of $150,000 in statutory damages per infringement, plus legal feels to compensate the loss of earnings from the usage.

Jefferson told Billboard his music has "been sampled thousands of times".

The 62-year-old musician expressed that he is miffed that "a Black artist" and "a fellow Chicagoan" would take the liberty to use his work without paying him.

The 'Good Morning' rapper was also previously sued by Texas Bishop David Paul Moten for sampling his sermons on the track 'Come To Life' from his 2021 LP 'Donda'.

Ye has a history of upsetting fellow artists with his sample use.

In 2019, Chaka Khan confessed she felt "insulted" when he sampled her 1985 track 'Through the Fire' on his 2005 breakthrough song of the same name.

Ye recorded the track with his jaw wired shut following a car accident - and although his story "got [her] heart" she was less than impressed when she heard the finished single.

Chaka - who had given him permission to sample the tune - recalled in 2019: "He called me when he got out of the hospital. He said, 'You were so instrumental in my healing process. I had to change the words a little bit to the song, but I had to eat through a wire, you know, and I was wired shut, through a straw.'

"It meant that much to me, and it really got my heart."

When she heard the song for the first time, the 'Ain't Nobody' hitmaker was furious when she heard the hook had been extremely sped up.

She said: "I was p****. I was a little insulted - not insulted, I thought it was stupid."

The 'I Feel For You' singer went on to admit that if she'd known he'd planned to change her vocals, she would have said "hell no" to him sampling her original song.

However, Chaka - who admitted she's made money from 'Through the Wire' - has never told the 45-year-old star how she felt.

She explained: "I mean, what can I say?"

Bret Michaels hospitalised hours before gig

Bret Michaels has been hospitalised hours after he was due to go on stage.

The Poison frontman - who has type 1 diabetes - was admitted to a medical facility in Nashville on Thursday (30.06.22) after falling ill ahead of their show with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Sources told TMZ the 59-year-old star may have had a bad reaction to medication related to COVID-19 as a result of his diabetes.

Bret's bandmates went on stage to regrettably inform the audience they wouldn't be able to perform that evening, but they have made no further announcements about his condition.

Two years ago, the 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' singer revealed he had been diagnosed with skin cancer and also needed surgery on his shoulder.

In a blog post on his website, he wrote: "After a very recent kickoff to the new year, physical MRI it has been brought to my attention that I have torn my right shoulder rotator cuff which would answer the question why it looks like a lump or bone was sticking out of my right shoulder.

"A little more complex I will also have to undergo a procedure to remove skin cancer that was detected after a recent biopsy."

The 'Crack A Smile' rocker recently opened up about his major health scare in 2010, when he suffered an appendectomy, brain haemorrhage, and heart surgery.

He admitted: "I dealt with a lot of health issues during that year, and by the grace of God and a lot of hard work and therapy, I'm still on the good side of the dirt and having a good time."

'The Stadium Tour' with Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Joan Jett The Blackhearts kicks off on July 7 at Florida's Hard Rock Stadium, and comes to a close on September 5 at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium.
