Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Resort is celebrating Arizona Restaurant Week by officially launching Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails in the space that once housed Dos Locos. That restaurant closed last spring.
Epazote - pronounced "ep - uh - zó - tay" - has been open for about five weeks but will make it official Friday as a kickoff for Arizona Restaurant Week, Sunday through Sept. 23.
The restaurant will showcase locally sourced grass-fed beef, cheeses and Arizona-grown produce, according to a press release. The restaurant also offers locally brewed craft beers and Arizona wines.
During Arizona Restaurant Week, $30 per person will get you a three-course meal that will serve as a primer of Epazote's menu. Entree choices, for example, include grilled eggplant enchiladas, Arizona pecan crusted mountain trout or chili rubbed bistro steak.
