Social media has questioned whether Lily James' waist in the upcoming Disney movie "Cinderella" was digitally enhanced to make her seem thinner and was promoting an unhealthy body image. But James and her fellow workers on the film all deny that any enhancement was made.
She recently told the Los Angeles Times that no "CGI trickery had occurred. She said her costume’s corset and voluminous skirt created an illusion, and she does not feel she is promoting an unhealthy body image."
“I have naturally a quite small waist,” James told ABC's “Nightline.” “And on top of that I have a corset that was pulled me into the inch of my life." James, who plays Lady Rose MacClare in the TV drama "Downton Abbey," said the corset part of the gown slimmed her down to a 17-inch waist and the big skirt made her waist look even smaller, according to "Nightline."
Director Kenneth Branagh and Richard Madden, who is Prince Charming, told The Huffington Post that she appears in the movie as she does in real life.
