Movits! is Stephen Colbert's favorite Swedish swing/hip-hop band.
In July, Movits! appeared on "The Colbert Report" and performed its song "Fel del av gården." The next day, the band's album, "Äppelknyckarjazz" shot up the Amazon.com charts - a direct result of what the faux-conservative talk show host has dubbed "The Colbert Bump."
The Washington Post called the band's music "quite danceable," and said it "sounds vaguely like an alternate-reality Soul Coughing enamored with Big Band Swing and hip-hop."
Movits! will play Plush tonight at 9:30. Tickets are $6.
