The rolling hills around the historic Kannally Ranch House at Oracle State Park will be alive with music this spring.
Three "Music in the Park" concerts — presented by the Friends of Oracle State Park — are aimed at raising funds for environmental education and maintenance work at the park near Oracle.
Performances will be held outdoors at the ranch house on Sunday, May 10 and June 7.
"We try to get a variety of different music, and the setting is wonderful," said Rick Gagnon, ranger at the park. "People attending the concerts will get some very nice views off the patio of the ranch house as they enjoy the music."
The Sunday concert features Kip Calahan, a country and Western singer and songwriter. Calahan, who was named female vocalist of the year by the Academy of Western Artists in 2004, will perform from 2 to 4 p.m.
