The Iowa native and his folkie wife, Iris Dement, recently adopted a 6-year-old girl from Russia that he is probably spending as much time with her as he can.
Luckily, Tucson is still on the performer's radar. He comes through the Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway, on Friday with Bo Ramsey as part of the Rhythm & Roots fall concert series.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $27 in advance through Antigone Books, Enchanted Earthworks and Plaza Liquors. They are $30 at the door. 440-4455.
