Austin-based indie act Okkervil River had a big 2007 with its album "The Stage Names."
"The Stage Names" is worth a listen, if you haven't checked it out yet. It's an upbeat, Americana romp led by dramatic singer Will Sheff.
The band is now prepped to release its sequel, "The Stand Ins," in September.
September also will be the month the band returns to Club Congress, where it last played the HoCo Festival.
The group plays Sept. 26. Tickets are on sale now. Opening is Sea Wolf and Zykos.
