It's not every day the credited creator of an entire musical genre comes to Tucson.
Dick Dale is the man behind surf rock, that instrumental guitar music, heavy on the reverb, that celebrated insane amounts of popularity in the 1960s.
Dale comes to the Hut on Friday with Laramie Dean, a Dale disciple who practices his own brand of surf rock, dubbed "surf punk."
The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are $25.
