Chris Burton Jácome's fiery flamenco play made it into another indie film this year.
The Tucson-raised musician's song "Eastern Eyes" reached an international audience when it appeared in the movie "Amreeka," which screened at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival in May. Jácome might just play the track when he performs at Old Town Artisans, 201 N. Court Ave., tonight as part of Rhythm & Roots' fall concert series.
The show will feature plenty of original material, including music created for the touring ensemble, Calo Flamenco.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance through Antigone Books, Plaza Liquors and Enchanted Earthworks and $23 at the door.
