Documentary may air on MTV in summertime
War Child is a worldwide network of independent organizations working to raise awareness of children's rights and to help children affected by war.
In May 2004, Sum 41 visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo during a fragile time of peace to make a film about children affected by the nine-year civil war.
The band never expected to experience fighting firsthand.
Despite the ordeal, the film was completed. War Child Canada is in talks with MTV about airing the documentary sometime this summer. In the meantime, you can visit www.warchild.ca to see the trailer for "Rocked: Sum 41 in Congo," which includes nail-biting footage of the band's escape.
