Indie rock band Rogue Wave was created in 2002 by lead singer Zach Rogue after he lost his job in the dot-com bust.
Rogue wrote, recorded and produced the band's first album, "Out of the Shadow." The following year band members headed on the road for a two-year tour of America.
But it wasn't until a live version of their song "Every Moment" from their 2003 album "Out of the Shadow" appeared on the soundtrack for the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" that the band came on the radar. The band cemented it with the track "Eyes" featured twice in the movie "Just Friends" starring Ryan Reynolds.
Rogue Wave performs 7 p.m. Saturday at Club Congress. Tickets are $12.
