An eclectic mix of smooth jazz, soul and R&B artists will gather at the Westin La Paloma Saturday to celebrate Motown's 50th anniversary.
Over the last five decades, Motown has launched careers for a list of iconic artists, including Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and the Temptations.
No major Motown names will grace Saturday's show, but we will get Leon Ware, a singer, writer and producer who penned tracks for Gaye's album "I Want You."
Sax players Kim Waters and Dominic Amato also will play, as will smooth-jazz artist Jeff Lorber, flutist Alexander Zonjic and others.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35-$75.
