Robert Cray, the blues and soul rock guitarist with ties to Eric Clapton, returns to the Rialto Theatre on Wednesday night. The strong persuader has a new album due out this summer, so expect to hear some fresh material.
In the meantime, you can brush up on the live experience with a copy of his latest release, "The Robert Cray Band: Live From Across the Pond."
The album was the first release on Cray's own imprint, Nozzle Records. It was recorded over the course of seven sets at Royal Albert Hall in London, while touring with Clapton.
The recording includes Cray hits like "Phone Booth," "Poor Johnny," "Things You Do to Me" and "Twenty."
The performance starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30-$40 through the Rialto box office, 740-1000.
