You won't see drummer Jake Mitchell touring with his psychedelic rock band, the Boxing Lesson, when it comes through Plush on Saturday.
Mitchell was sentenced to five years in prison in August 2008 for "conspiracy to manufacture marijuana" in Austin, Texas.
That leaves the experimental group with two remaining members, Paul Waclawsky on guitar and vocals, and Jaylinn Davidson on synthesizers.
Mitchell is still in the Lesson, according to its MySpace page. The remaining group just makes sure to include that he is in federal prison after his name in the "band members" section.
Tucson's own psychedelic-rock trio, Mostly Bears, shares the bill. Four Five Six opens at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
