This week the best action again takes place in the morning sky.
Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury will continue to delight in the predawn.
Start looking at the eastern sky around 5:45 a.m. Mercury will be close to the eastern horizon, and Venus, Jupiter, and Mars will be grouped close together 30 degrees above the horizon.
Their positions change every day with Venus and Jupiter only 1.1 degree apart Sunday morning, a splendid binocular sight.
On Wednesday, Oct. 28, there will be a rare conjunction (grouping) of Venus, Mars, and Jupiter forming a tight 1-degree sided triangle with Jupiter being the highest, Venus in the middle, and Mars closest to the horizon. Don’t miss it.
