Nick Ames helped CDO win the 2015 state baseball championship. Now in his third year at UNLV, he is as productive as ever. He was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week last week, hitting three home runs in four games, as well as hitting a double and triple in a victory over Oregon. Ames starts at first base for the Rebels; he hit a team-high 11 home runs a year ago.
