A celebration of life for Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White was held at the Tucson Convention Center in downtown Tucson on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018.Â
White, who had been with the Marshals for 3 years, was killed last week while serving an arrest warrant. He was the first deputy U.S. marshal killed in Tucson in 66 years.Â

The public celebration of life for Chase White is being held this morning at the Tucson Convention Center
Accused gunman Ryan Schlesinger could have obtained a gun, avoided mental treatment due to legal gaps.
Tucson police have been trying to handle Schlesinger's threats and misbehavior since August 2017, about a month after it became a concern at Pima Community College.
Chase White, 41, hailed as a hero, leaves behind a wife and four children.
For more than a year, as his threats escalated, Tucson police had been trying to get accused gunman Ryan Schlesinger mental-health treatment
Ryan Schlesinger, 26, was taken into custody after a standoff. He was not wounded.
Deputy Marshal Chase White was an Air Force reservist who was preparing for deployment.
