There have been so many pieces written by Bonnie Henry in her 25-year career at the Star it is impossible to choose the best. Here are some images from a few of her favorites.

Two nude photographs hang on Mary Catherine Habeck-Leighou's bedroom wall. One is a side profile, all leg and hip, taken in Spain. Another shows her backside and thighs. "I was 25 when those were taken," says Mary Catherine Habeck-Leighou. The photographs, she says, "make me feel empowered." In early 2000, Mary Catherine lost those lovely lower limbs to the invasive Strep A bacteria known as necrotizing fasciitis. Its more lurid term: "flesh-eating bacteria." Bye-bye, Bonnie

She has a last name, not that anybody uses it. Like Lute Olson, perhaps the only Tucsonan during the same period whose popularity eclipsed her own, Bonnie Henry's first name is enough to evoke instant recognition.
